Great work as always. However, I didn't hear the distinctive M1-Garand en-bloc clip ejection sound. That final cartridge ejection is followed by the ejection of the clip, but it appears that didn't make it into this presentation. I hope it made it into the overall release in some form.

Yeah me too. If you do a library about world war 2 firearms and not include the famous M1 clip ejection then you're crazy.

@@tylerchambliss8379 Yea and I looked through the sound list as well and didn't see the clip iteration at all. It appears they only used the magazine loaded variant in the recording of this collection as there are magazine in/out sounds in the collection.

@@AaronVictoria Oh well. Could just use a sound from somewhere else but man that's just strange. I bet they're gonna make a volume 2.

      Hey Aaron and Tyler!
Glad you guys liked the trailer, and thanks for the question!
So the iconic M1 clip ejection can be found in our Construction Kit. It is within the M1 Reload file, it should appear 2 times (second time its pretty silent tho).
Filename: GUNMech_Foley-M1 Garand Reload_B00M_WW2FC (it can be found in both mic versions)
But it is not included in the Design Kit!
And in the presentation we mainly focused on the Design Kit sound design overall. Thats why it didnt make it into the trailer.
      I hope that helps!

@@exenye Excellent! Thanks for sharing the details. I actually bought the bundle and didn't consider that it would be included in the reload sound file. It completely slipped my mind that you would hear the sound during the first phase of a manual ejection of the clip to do a full clip reload. Looking forward to getting in and doing some work today.

Are any of the sounds (such as machineguns) loopable or do they all have tails in the end?

    • @AxelRoBa
      @AxelRoBa 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

Hi SimpleBitStudios. They all have tails, but it is easy to create loops out of either single shots or full auto sequences. If you search for "how to created audioloop" you will find a ton of tutorials. You can then add the tail as a "off-trigger" sound to smoothly stop the loop. Hope that helps!

First of all these sounds are AMAZING! You guys did an excellent job!
    My question.
I purchased the Designed packaged a few days ago. Could someone tell me what the ping noise on the Mosin Nagant Mechanical sound is? It happens right after the shot and sound like a bolt blowing back but this weapon doesn't do that. Just curios as a friend and I couldn't figure it out. It also appears on the Kar98K Mechanical but is not as loud. Thanks.

    • @exenye

      Hey Jonathan!
Glad that you like our library and thanks for the question!
For the different sound design sets, we had overall different approches on the sound design.
Modern would represent a ''realistic'' approach the most. Thats why there isnt any metall ping sound on the mosin nagant modern version.
The mechanical versions have more mechanical detail and even weapons without a self loading mechanism have some mechanical information in this case, otherwise they wouldnt really work as a mechanical sound design overall. And would be too similar to the modern versions in the Design Kit.
Because with our different sets, we want to please different types of custumors with different needs on their weapon designs.
I hope that helps and i hope you have a lot of fun with your library!

Makes sense. I am having a blast with this library. All of the sounds are currently in a WW2 RPG game I am working on. I love showing people how my weapons sound in game. They never expect the weapons to sound so good.

Would it be possible to make a light version of these superb sounds? Like only 30-40 of them for a relatively low price, like maybe 25 buck or something? I think this could sell well.
