It's cute of them to reference previous dolls but girl... when you put the original side by side there is such a difference (quality, appearance, clothes). I was squinting to make out who the modern totally hair ken was lol. I collect mostly 2000s Barbies but some of the dolls in this line are cute.
I agree! I grew up in the 90s so most of my collection is 80s, 90s, and some early 00s sprinkled in. But I have gotten use to the fashionistas of today, so I don’t really harp on them like I use to. Mattel was at their peak when I was a kid, so my expectations are already high. I just buy retros and call it a day lol
Definitely getting Totally Hair Ken. Love the facial hair and sculpted hair. Preordered Barbie Looks 25. I’ll give him his purple pants. Ah! Fashionista Western Ken will look good next to my Barbie the movie Western Ken.

Idk if you're interested but some Amazon sellers sell ken clothes and the pants are better quality than mattel. Its like 20 pieces for $15.
