  • Installing a 2-post lift on new concreate floor. This space is in old barn.
    There is still a lot of work to be done to improve the space

    My lift was advertised as 1 lever for unlocking both safety latches, but it must be like yours, pull a ring on each side, true. Damn crooks.

    Great video, have you ever noticed the top bend in just a little with a heavy vehicle? Curious, mine does maybe 1/2 inch at the top, is that typical? My base is super tight

      The movement of the struts is not visible with the eyes. I haven't measured it. Cars that i lift, not weigh more than two tons.

    Cik biezs betons vajadīgs? Marka 25-30 der?

    • @Westcoastdigger
      @Westcoastdigger  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      8cm vismaz. tik jaudīgs betons nav vajadzīgs.
      Marku šeit neatceros, biezums grīdai apmēram 10cm, kā vietām. Zem pacēlāja kājam ir biezākas pēdas.

    Hey, i have 10 centimeters of concrete! I will need more 10 right? I can do a "footings" so? To reinforce the lifter?

    • @Westcoastdigger
      @Westcoastdigger  ปีที่แล้ว

      If the concrete is strong enough and with reinforcement, then 10 cm will withstand the lift.
      And use chemical anchor.

    If i don't have a concrete floor, can i just lay a very thick steel plate on the floor instead to distribute the wight?

    • @Westcoastdigger
      @Westcoastdigger  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Probably yes, but it's will be really big plate to connect both posts.

    • @homewrecker44
      @homewrecker44 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Absolutely not! Floor Plate lifts have no top cross member to counteract the tendency of the posts to want to collapse inward. Simply distributing weight on metal plates does not do anything to stop the post from wanting to collapse inward. All 2 post lifts need to be anchored into the proper thickness of concrete otherwise you'll have a death wish.
