Great video and review! I really like this new synth. BTW, awesome workstation desk and hardware racks. I've been looking for something similar for my machine instruments.
Very helpful review. I really appreciate how you walk through the product and discover as you go. I picked a copy for myself via the affiliate link. Keep making great videos. Thanks Jef.
I'm always interested in 'players' - one *ahem* reason I gravitate towards Reason+ - because Player devices/instruments are so inspirational, especially if you're stuck in a creative rut. One random arpeggio with just the right sound can spark off the old magic. This instrument is definitely in my realm of interest. Thanks for the review - I had genuinely never heard of it before YT put your video in front of me.
I always watch and think I can blend these instruments and sounds into my beats but find myself not using them as much after the first few weeks. Imma practice some restraint and pass on this one. Thanks for the video sir.
Imagine is a physical modelling synthesizer. It does not excel at orchestral sounds. It also does not have any of the sequencing capabilities this one has. So I do not see any overlap to be honest.
You mention in the video not being able to change the sounds themselves, but I believe you can go in to each sound and adjust filters and such to alter the sounds themselves. Thanks for the great vid!
I've got Arkhis; still getting familiar with it. I like this though. It could be a featured instrument, but I think it will likely be used in more subtle ways.
Thanks for the video. I usually wait to upgrade anything from native instruments until the sales. I'm curious, have you done a video on tallin from orchestral tools? I asked native instruments about the possibility of partnering with them and bringing that one onboard for nks compliance. Orchestral tools isn't interested in accessibility for the blind in and of themselves. Arkhis is one of my main instruments, I love that one.
Being able to only select 16th notes or 16th triplets seems to be quite limiting, no? And I assume there are only between 1 and 4 beats? Thanks for the video!
Hopefully in Komplete 14 Ultimate soon. With Ashlight. Since without those I feel it's InKomplete 13 Ultimate. I don't know what NI should do though. Make some pushes to unite the Sine, Spitfire Player & Kontakt in Kontakt 7 maybe. Otherwise I think Komplete 14's main point will be Reaktor 7. On vas bien voir.
Awesome instrument! Might get my hands on these. Also, what stands did you buy for your monitors? I have the Adam Audio T7Vs which kinda look like yours so just wondering 🤷🏻♂️ lol
Love your videos. In depth and really fun to watch. You create some beautiful melodies with every instrument. If only you could add your created track at the end that'll be great. Thanks. I know your videos are about the VSTs and not about your music but still there's no harm in adding something extra, right? :)
@@jefgibbons Yes plz do that. I literally googled your music. and guess what,...found nothing!!. So yes im looking forward to it and once again thank you for listening :)
If you re-watch the video you'll find screen shots where the CPU utilization is displayed in the upper right corner. Didn't look too bad from what I recall. Guess I need to re-watch.
Jeff, how big is your machine?, mine is not big (windows 10, i7 with 12GB RAM) and I need to use this Sequis very carefully because several of the sounds are big cpu consumers so if I try to use them more than a few seconds the cpu go to 100%, even with this as the only vst in my Daw and no other program opened.
Do you know if this outputs midi? Then be able to use that midi for instruments outside the plugin? And if you record a beat and want to use it outside, do you feel like it would bea. lot of work to sync with whatever tempo you got going on given the 15th note restriction?
@@jefgibbons Hi Jef-so are you saying the output is audio and the final layered sound? I suppose you could individual track each layer and then try and convert tempo to midi-but that's a lot fo work vs just doing it your self! thank you
That's hot. I can see hundreds of applications for it. So, when you record midi data, is that tracking the sequential elements from Sequis or just not on/off and dynamics from the notes you play manually?

Good review, but I can't agree on this, I've been quite disappointed on this instrument. They should have put round robin samples on each instrument articulation. Since the sequencer can only do 1 or 2 bars, this makes for a very 'machine gun' feel which we're all familiar with. $199 wasted for me.
Looking forward to creating with this.
I've never really been one to go for packages like this.....this is fantastic.
This one is totally on my radar! I love how excited you get about some of the sounds!
Yeah! Some fun stuff in there! Thanks as always Peter!
Always love your honesty xxx
Your vids are awesome!
Always look forward to your reviews! I will definitely be picking this one up.
Thanks Jeffrey!
We producers don't care about so loud click sound. Great content Jef!
Great walkthrough. So easy to be a composer with these kinds of tools.
Yes,but tour creativity is more important.
@@dirkkeersmaekers4343 I got no argument against that

I have the same issue. End up not using them. Do all of these separate purchases eventually go into the next Komplete?!? This is my first year with NI

Any overlap with Imagine from Expressive E ? you are in my top 3 of preferred videos on music productions stuffs.
Imagine is a physical modelling synthesizer. It does not excel at orchestral sounds. It also does not have any of the sequencing capabilities this one has. So I do not see any overlap to be honest.
I wonder do you do one on one walk through online with equipments, daws, and plug-ins.
You mention in the video not being able to change the sounds themselves, but I believe you can go in to each sound and adjust filters and such to alter the sounds themselves. Thanks for the great vid!
Hey Brandon! yeah, you can adjust any fx on them for sure, I just meant being able to go in and play with the usual things like envelopes etc...
2:01 you remind me of LOSCIL playing that...
Looks great but shame that the sequencer is so short and does not offer longer sequences...
I've got Arkhis; still getting familiar with it. I like this though. It could be a featured instrument, but I think it will likely be used in more subtle ways.

It is definitely limiting... I'd love to see the ability to extend the sequences!
Terrific video. Thank you! Do you think you might want to try layering some of these patches with Arkhis? And mess about with the modwheel? : )

This looks amazing! Is is possible to route each of the layers as separate outs to be able to edit as independent tracks? Thanks
Hi Spencer, it’s not… it’s a fairly closed system!
Sounds great. Curious if the various layers are assignable to easily select/deselect and edit in a keyboard like the sl mk3.
