Sveiki visi! I am from Turkey and have been with an amazing Lithuanian girl for almost four years. This song always reminds me of her and our times in Kaunas. I remember when I first listened to it I thought it is about something darker than spring, but then I come to understand that this is just how Lithuanians like to roll!
It is the lithuanian spring! It’s shy, and not as easy of an awakening asit might be in Turkey. But when it gets going, it goes all the way. The song captures it pretty well:)
@@zaliaLP That's really weird, I was just thinking about that the translation of that word today, and decided that the most accurate meaning is somewhere between the words "both" and "together"
It is correct, but more accurate translation is together. For example, if you wanted to translate this line in traditional Lithuanian song, "Eisva mudu abudu" you'd say we will go together, not we will both go, because the word "abudu" is more emotional, feeling word of togetherness, not a description word. I think that's why the band chose this name, because it describes a feeling of unity, closeness and in general going "shoulder to shoulder". A word "Both" also is not as poetic or meaningful, so would not be a great choice for a bands name. Anyway, "abudu" is such an old, ancient Lithuanian word, that could not be accurately translated for someone else to fully understand. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk.
i clicked cus i thought it would be latvian but latvians don't do such beauty so i wasn't too surprised to see it's our neighbors. dear neighbor blast the music as loud as u can i like ur taste.

Hello from New York! I discovered this song through Spotify and I’ve been listening on repeat. So beautiful.

I don't understand much of Lithuanian, but this song oh my ... these emotions within, I get it all. Thank you Abadu! Cheers from Heidelberg / Riga
It's "Abudu", and it means "both" (usually talking about people)
@@MINDAUGAS716 A better translation would be ''Together''
@@zaliaLP That's really weird, I was just thinking about that the translation of that word today, and decided that the most accurate meaning is somewhere between the words "both" and "together"
@@zaliaLP no, not really, only "both" is correct
