    Nice video, I personally love it, cause I don't really have all the time to deal with bulk information. So it filters all the unwanted information and leaves me with less information to act on. It helps me understand price moves and establish more objective and repeatable approach .

    Cant find a better guru to learn. Very clear and precise explanations. This is the first time watching ichimoku being explained so clearly. I need to watch this over and over again till I am totally clear about this video before moving ahead with other videos on the subject posted by you but to be really honest guys even with a good indicator you can still make a bad trade but in additional of a strategy like the Ash Strategy by aleksandrov you can be a more profitable trader with Ichimoku..Thanks for the fabulous job thanks and regards.

    Interesting concept.
    I'd love it if you expanded on this with exit postions -- and with "right edge" examples. IOW, show a chart at the point of a trade signal, explain why you think it's a good Long or Short, then show the chart continuing past that to see how it did.
    Hindsight charts are less useful because we can already see what the ticker did.
    It would also be great if you could address the basic win/loss ratio of this strategy -- IOW, how many false positives does it produce.
    Finally, maybe talk about the best "tick" settings for different time settings and/or tickers. For example, when I selected 100 Ticks for GLD, I only got 2 bars for the entire 1 year 1 Daily chart. And no Ichimoku.
    Thanks for introducing me to a new strategy.

    There are so many great traders in the *SQB AMAC Community* making hundred of thousands on a daily basis. . The key with examining their history is not just to marvel at their success, but to try and discern what made them successful.
    The *sqb strategy* a system, which includes position sizing, stop loss positioning and a successful approach. Jesse Livermore in particular, is a valuable example was one of the founders of this trading system. This strategy is EPIC !!!

    Very well done, extremely precised, accurate explanations. and I can say it does work with a high success rate , I did add the MFI indicator as volume indicator( settings period 7 and 10/90 zone) and the ADX for volatility indicator. I have been using this strategy on ctrader platform with real money with 2 pips renko bars on eur/usd day trading/scalping between 6 to 12 pips per trade.

  • @robertrose3068

    I've always wanted to try Renko instead of watching candles. Since Renko depends on price action, wouldn't these be good for a 1-3 minute chart on something like Nadex where things go quick and we only have a limited price range to work with?

  • @pianostool44
    @pianostool44 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    This is classic hindsight trading, especially the section about ranges. You have no idea when a trend will become a range, or a range will become a trend. Very easy to look back over the past and say 'avoid ranging market', but its just not that simple in real time. If you develop this defensive mindset, you will miss very long trends.
    From my own personal testing, a working strategy for Renko is taking big swings and accepting small losses. The problem with ichimoku is that its really slow, so you end up missing half of a big swing. Better to try and find another baseline...

  • @nicolaimarquez2211

    This is a brilliant Strategy! I've been testing it for a few days in lower time frames (as Renko charts don't actually take into account time, but only Price Action, I mean that I usually use this strategy with Renko Bars of 10-20 points, depending on the market and my risk aversion) So I think is also good for Scalping. And it ussually works well with a 1-2 and even a 1-3 ratio.
    I do add a 200 EMA so I can trade mostly just in the direction of the EMA, and it helps me also to filter choppy zones, where the EMA is flat.
    Awesome video man, Keep it up!

When and how u decide to buy or sell, since there is no way to understand the exact moment the new brick is formed?? Thanx

  • @JoelFinkel

    Thank you for this interesting presentation. I do have a question, though. The "lagging line" (Chikou) always lags behind the current position, correct? It is not calculable at the time one is deciding whether or not to enter a trade. It is only valuable in hindsight to see if you entered correctly. So I am not sure why one would use it at all. Am I missing something? Thank you again and I look forward to your feedback.
    By the way, this is a problem with many charting videos, which generally show information that is not yet available at the moment one is deciding when to enter. It's easy to see the proper entry time IN HINDSIGHT, but real trading is done in the present, when future data are obviously not yet available.

    • @brazillionnaire
      @brazillionnaire 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Joel Finkel I think you missed the point. The lagging line is purely for confirmation. You will have enough runway to see the progressive change in market direction with Renko and Ichimoku cloud combined. You’re looking at this strategy with a mindset of looking at candle stick charts. Don’t over analyse it, follow the rules laid out and you will simply add to your P&L without the noise of candlestick charts.

    • @dhanushkunadharaju2992
      @dhanushkunadharaju2992 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      you can check the lagging line which is behind the current position for just confirmation. If the lagging is line does not favor your trade, it is better to not take position at all.

    Nice video on Renko and IC. I thought the cloud represents 26 period in future. The long entry rule says, the Kumo cloud is green and the green renko bar is above the cloud. Can there be a situation where the cloud just below the price is red and lagging span is above the price and cloud?

  • @danny_petrov
    @danny_petrov 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Loved the video and am currently testing it on a paper trading account. Should be working great given the historical data, but I have a question. When looking at the lagging index if it hasn't gone out of the cloud should you trade when you see the second bar or not. What I mean is do I need to be concerned with where the lagging indicator is against the cloud or only against the graph itself.

    Nice introductory into one of the most complicated yet rewarding trading systems known outside of deciphering one of W.D. Gann's systems. I day-trade the E-mini Nasdaq and If I may share a entry point I use. On a short when price breaks below the RED cloud, price has a tendency to retrace up to the cloud, I have seen it do it up to three times.When this happens I set my entry below the lowest low of the retrace with stop at least two ticks above the highest high.Once you're hit if the second candle doesn't break below your entry candle get out.

      We have two time frames telling us the same thing. Also, we don’t use the time rotation as the stand alone but use it to give us greater conviction at the resistance/polarity failure. you can see, this high doesn’t line up with a real good time cluster. That could be a good reason why this high is eventually taken out. time-framing apply renko should depend on your system strategy, price change can often happen if the reversal begins with a large momentum candlestick to the downside. *Lukasz Wilhelm's* method helps better. you can read about his system on google.

    Excellent video! I appreciate your work, really.
    But I have a question: how do I put the Renko chart in 100 blocks?
    I use TradingView in Pro+ Plan.

      Use 1 for TradingView.

      @@TheSecretMindset Ok but, my question is, 1 where? What I can't find is how to put the graph at 100 points for each "block" of Renko.
      I don't know if you understand me

      Ezequiel Pereyra In Tradingview you can change the settings of the Renko Bars. Actually you can toggle between ATR and „Traditional“, which lets you enter a fixed number. You can reach the settings with a tap or click on the „Renko“ line on top left of the chart. Use „...“ and settings to get to the parameters.

    What do you think of using the lagging line with stochastic for ranges? Thanks an advance. ✌
