My daughter’s Malayalam textbook’s first chapter is Amma in which Amma is picturised as a woman wearing a dirty saree cleaning dishes cooking sweeping etc. my kid is in first standard .. for a six years old kid these pictures convey more ideas than words inthe book. So from first standard onwards training to maintain the patriarchal society . First education system has to change. Then only society can .

The education system has to change. We need to educate kids to respect both men and women equally. Give them equal space. Teach the laws existing in our country and also make them aware about the need of obeying these rules. Inculcate a deep sense of moral values right from the childhood rather than making them learn things by heart and attain high marks.
