This is what’s up . I knew something good was coming when you mentioned this the other day . I like how you explained each hurdle as they came . One part at a time and it all came together . I thought this was cool and thanks for sharing the details . For someone like me newer to building these the details matter . I got it though . Shim , shim shim 👍snug but no binding . I seen that 4s kagama going past the 4th tree . Also, landing like a champ . Awesome content 👏. Looks like the ADU parts can hang too .
@Hungrybird474 Thanks brother. Honestly I almost didn't post this because I didn't want to deal with the possible backlash. But so far I'm glad I did. I truly just enjoy the process. And was once a newb myself. So I want to share what challenges and lessons I run into. And the TCK4 is a champ! I've got some things in the works for that one too! A few mods. A few adjustments. Then it gets sent for serious! 😆 Yeah bro. ADU did just fine except for that rear tower. Although I can't really say it was the tower with how shitty I landed. 🤣 For the price. A complete ADU build plus the car is a damn good deal.
Very interesting and well detailed video. I have a Kagama and haven't had any diff issues, but I admittedly am a newbie and I don't do crazy air bashing. Knowledge is power, thats why i like to watch video's like this, so i understand the engineering a little better and it will help when i have issues. Good job.
@MrGonzoify Thabks brother. And yeah man. It all depends. But 130 foot hits will put any rig to the test. For most bashing all these rigs will do just fine. I'm just an idiot. And like to go extreme with it. Lol. Glad you benefitted from it. That's what it's about. Community. No one knows everything.
That is commitment, I need to watch it again get my head round it but my first thought was it might be easier to add arrma driveshfts & hubs aswell maybe save having to shim out the outdrive cups. Less work in long run maybe. Still look fwd to seeing it rig looks badass with all adu goodies saw pics posted on fb 👌
@INIEILS0IN The video is live on my YT. Also I tried what you mentioned. Then offset of the Arrma hubs is too far in. Put the Arrma hubs next to the TC hubs. You'll see that TC likes to make their hubs very wide. This is how they get the track width. But this in turns creates a situation where you then need a custom axle and cv's.
You know what’s extra cool about this vid?? Even though you are working on a TC’s differential people can basically apply the same knowledge to an Arrma or Traxxas diff… “give great info you do”😎… you have to say that last quote with a Yoda voice in your mind or out loud is fine…
@@RC-Closer1313 Couldn't agree more. Thanks brother 👊 And you don't have to explain the reference. Lol. It made sense as soon as I read it. May the force be with you!
I’m curious… with all that shimming going on do you think it will last or do you think the diff will shift or something for the five (5) battery rule? Drive that sucker like it stole your dog!
@MuscleAKAOzzy Rear TC diffs don't hold up. I tried. For weeks. As soon as I put Arrma diffs in it I got 2 bashes back to back. It boils down to the TC diffs ring and pinion made of sintered steel instead of a hardened steel. The material just isn't strong enough. It would be easier for TC to fix this then to go through all that I went through. But until that happens this is my solution.

Excellent solution, very smart thinking.
@@jagergerg9771 thanks. Hope it helps the TC community.
Thanks for sharing and being so detailed!

What bit did u use to dremel out the outdrive? I use the dremel cut wheel for a lot of stuff but ik the outdrives are hard tool steel.
@@irish33rc9 I used a dremel with a cutting wheel. Slowly amd carefully cut out a very small amount.

@RC-Closer1313 That's the question. To be honest I don't have the answer to that yet.
all good but why do tc diff to arrma diffs? arrma diffs have issues in the first place?;
