The problem with the ship isn't the shells, it's the fact that Gaijin regularly gives Britain ships with no AA batteries, so you have no way of countering bombers. Yet, Gaijin gives the Soviets ships with Strelas on board to counter WW2 prop planes.
Hoping they fix the crew dispersion soon, they seem to all be located in the center of the ship above the armor. Found myself losing 40%+ crew from a few shell hits with minimal ship damage, just doesn't seem right to me.

Also the problem with the secondaries is quite serious because it’s randomly damaging and detonating the main magazines of BBs BCs etc, for example I detonated some days ago some battleships with the secondaries of Mutsu and Scharnhorst I think, i detonated a Nevada, a Scharnhorst, a Bayern and other bbs and heavy cruisers so it’s really a problem that needs to be fixed.
if anything uss nevada should have the most plot armour since it survived not just one but two direct nuclear bombs irl iirc but you can still get destroyed in war thunder from a lucky first volley from the enemy at the beginning of the match every once in a while 😢
I honestly am fine with Barham, I mean as a Royal Navy Tea-A-Boo I appreciate the attention to history and am ok with her being in her 1916 configration. I am curious however and will have to drag out the trunk full of Naval history books in my pantry to see if her guns ever got Modernized in her later Refits. In particular if her guns had their elevation increased later in her career. I don't know how much of an impact in performance in Warthunder having as built gun elevation will have. But it comes to mind, also I just run no torps on my load out, figured if I am in Jutland configuration then I will do what Barham did best and just start blasting. Question for you Napalm: A true comparison between Barham ( Queen Elizabeth ) and Baden Class ( Either Baden or Bayern ). What you love about either, what you dislike. Coming from you I would consider you an authority on the subject in Warthuder and worthy of a video on it's own. Cheers all!
Finished all 9 parts to the event tasks with always finishing in the top 3 in every bottle while grinding it, yet I barely made half of the required damage to make the coupon tradable. So what sale? Guess now we can wait for a tech-tree, and a premium version too, since the old premium BB got removed.
To be clear it's about getting more -points- to make it tradeable. I did it because I'm a masochistic idiot who wanted to finish up some coastal trees but it's a real grind. Will hang onto it for as long as it takes to be worth selling, maybe a year or 2 no rush
Off topic but another fellow youtuber by the name Dollar plays, i actually ran into him in a naval match, was playing the derflingger and i was in the sharnhorst. The derrflingger just by going against it is a very beefy boi, resembles the sharnhorst on being hard to kill.
Collosus, Queen Mary, invincible, malbourgh, glorious, Orion, dreadnaught. Hood is the only battleship/crusier the British have that has some AA and radar, but even that is mediocre compared to refitted US ships. And Renown am event ship. The British don't need any more pre WW1 or WW1 battleships. The next 16" ship should be a reffited Rodney or Nelson with AA and radar. Please, no more WW1 ships for a while. The US has lots of BBs but their heavy crusiers except premiums and Pittsburgh use 5"25s so the next US ship should be a 1943 Wichita. For the French a post US refit Richelieu. The Italians a littorio, Germans Bismark, the japanese have gotten 2 16" ships recently so probably just a destroyer or costal craft, the Russians Royal Sovereign that they got in place of italian prize ships after the italian surrender.
That ww1 warship can punch US standard type battleship with no AA guns to shoot planes but not so much against for some refit US battleship or battlecruisers

I like that they added a QE battleship, but feel like they could've added the Queen Elizabeth herself or at least maybe Warspite being the most notable ones, barham literally got torpedoed and sunk by a U-Boat and then her magazine detonated , its captured on real footageshowing her side exploding. Otherwise its nice to see the Brit naval tree with a QE Battleship.
Ive played a few games in this & they have been miserable experiences. I unlocked the AP shells, which are supposed to be the best shells in the game on paper, but theyre TRASH. NO DAMAGE to a Scharnhorst at close range. NO DAMAGE to far away American BBs. What an utter trash nation & trash ship.
Stopped playing this game as all they do is add Russian ships which either dont exist or are copy pastes from other countries while leaving the other nations with years between new vehicles

Aren’t the manning the aa and secondary’s

If they add warspite it'll probably be a premium battleship and for queen Elizabeth it'll probably be a tt ship

Gaijin modelling WW1 irregular fuse unreliability. But not constant poor quality Russian steel that should be half its effective thickness.
To be clear, I don't think it is modeled deliberately. It seems to be due to the APC shell type

The QE class ships did get improved gun mounts that allowed for greater elevation.
