    This was an awesome guide, thank you.
    There was one part that was key and required me to disassemble.
    When putting rebound back in, keep the stem at full length, so it can reach the bottoms of the lowers when putting the locking nuts back in otherwise there’s nothing to put them in.
    And on the air side I had to open the valve to get the side together and the parts in the right spot so the circlip could go back on.
    For a seasoned regular it is obvious, for me it wasn’t and I had to pull lowers off .

    My Marzocchi 350CR rebound damper is not retaining oil at all. I pour oil in the damper and it just comes out the other end of the tube. Clearly something is up with the damper and I've not had any luck finding parts

      I was having a similar issue on my 55cr slope and I fixed it by sliding the plastic bit with seals on it all the way to the top of the rebound damper shaft. Turns out the oil I thought was coming out of the bottom was actually leaking out near the top where the rebound adjustment rotates. Don't know if yours is the same issue but worth a shot

    Can you explain why you used two different 7.5wt oils? Is the green bottle a damper-specific oil and the red bottle a bath oil? Looking to service my 320 LR soon and have been reading mixed reviews as to whether I need a different damper oil from the bath oil. Thanks!

    I did this damper service for my cr 380 (it has the same damper). I did exactly by your video. My rebound adjustment works , but the compression just rotates freely and doesn't have any effect. It worked before i did anything. Did i do something obviosly wrong?
    I thought i ask here before i contact to marzocchi.

      I would make sure the adjuster rod is connecting properly to the dial as that opens and closes the oil ports so if it's freely spinning the dial is connected to the adjustment rod or the rod has become loose and detached from the port in the damper.

    • @StravaigingMTB
      @StravaigingMTB  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Glad you found it useful! It is the same platform just narrower stanchions, you adjust the travel by adding or removing spacers. If you have a shorter travel fork, there will be a black puck like spacer that clicks onto the air shaft above the negative spring. Taking this out increases the travel. Hope that helps and I would really appreciate a like and sub as it really helps me and the channel if you found this useful.

    I have a 2015 Suntour Axon fork with a damper part # FUN062-20 that looks very similar to this one and the lock out has quite a bit of play in it. Do you think the process would be the same as this video or very close? Thanks!

      The damper bleed/rebuild will be different. If it's a sealed cartridge (which I think it is) then the strip and clean process will be similar. Best thing is to find a service manual from the bowels of the sun tour website.

    Maybe you could help me with som questions reg this!?
    I Have just got a DH with a 380RC (Dual Crown DH), and have stripped it down for cleaning and checks!
    I found that the Rebound adjuster knob and shaft (Bottom Damper leg) was missing on my fork!. As I can see there are a lot of simularities with the 350CR, so i wonder if you remember how this shaft and knob was sealed towards the oilchamber in the leg. Also where can i find a manual / spares / support sites for the Marzocchis?
    Really hope you can help! :)
    Thank You! , David , Sweden.

      The Marzocchi workshop blog is no longer update but was made by the old distributor so is a very good resource. The Marzocchi official website has manuals but has the odd gap in the archive I've found. Spares are a hard one, you can check national distributors or ebay, but in doubt ask you bike shop as they will know. Ask the mechanic with a beard and tattoos. He will know.
      As for the sealing, there was a big rubber crush type washer on the inside. The rebound knob was a Allen key with a red dial on the end so you don't need it to adjust the rebound. Hope that helps and good luck!

    • @StravaigingMTB
      @StravaigingMTB  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes it is 7.5wt oil I use in both of my Marzocchi fork videos. You can use 5wt, this will make the fork a lot more supple but it will also speed up the rebound so I don't normally recommend it as the whole fork will act differently.

      @@sirol-lv4io in this model of fork yes, but always check the manufacturers oil ratings for a specific fork. Remember if you over fill you can get hydraulic lcik and not grt full travel or damage your fork and too little will result in a less smooth action and excessive wear of internal parts.
