      To be kobe it starts early. A mentality that is relentless,fearless,focused,uncompromising, and never letting up. Get a leg up on the competition. Is there anyone out there that reminds you of this?

    • @SoulEternalPeaceWarrior77
      @SoulEternalPeaceWarrior77 4 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Yeah I don't think that era will ever be seen again in sports. Nowadays it's about social media, parties, brand deals, Flash. I don't think anyone coming into the league now would be willing to undergo the training & regiment Kobe put himself through, that level of excellence. It was really special to witness.

    Man, I hated him when he played cause he just used to crush people, but I respect the shit out of his accomplishments. This guy was a force and he will go down in my mind as one of the top 4 players to ever play the game. I say 4 cause I think Tim Duncan was unreal during his time and doesn't get enough credit for going up against the Lakers in their prime and snatching a couple rings off those teams. Still he was great for basketball and its hard to not see him in the league anymore.

      KILLMONGER X Kobe’s in the 2000s era. A lot of people who watched that love that. Now that Kobe isn’t old or new he’s disrespected. Now that he died he’s getting some respect. But I reckon in 20 years he will be looked of more highly. He played in the last inefficient era before inflation took place again.

      jazz03 Bro I just watched the Shaq & Kobe sitdown where they talked open & honest about all of their good times & bad times.
      This format copied off the Magic Johnson & Isaiah Thomas sitdown.
      I am such a blessed man to be a Laker fan for over 40 years & actually watched Kobe, Shaq,& Magic Johnson during their good times AND bad times. 😄😄😄
      These new generation Laker fans don't any SUPERSTAR PLAYERS coming to the Lakers to take-over.
      They want what I had, a chance to watch players grow........
      Damn that, I want more championships soon, LaVar Ball can go to hell talking about a 2nd Ball Brother being on the Lakers.
      We need SUPERSTAR PLAYERS that are already proven.
      Shaq had already been to the NBA Finals with Orlando Magic before he joined the Lakers.
      You need SUPERSTAR veterans to win championships 😄😄😄

      I don’t blame Dwight for leaving either. Lakers ain’t been to the playoffs since then. Kobe as great a player he was, his leadership skills were not great. In the entirety of the Minneapolis/Los Angeles Lakers’ history look at the years they were at their worst, Kobe Bryant was at the helm of those teams. His fake “idgaf about much” attitude worked because he played for such a winning organization. Had it been any other team, he wouldn’t have had the success. But he made the lakers the team they are today..... guys have to question even wanting to play for the lakers now.

    • @gcn-kx1lu
      @gcn-kx1lu 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      A Thomas if you didn’t like him when he left that’s fine understandable but to say he was trash before coming? You are a dumbass. Three time defensive player of the year and took his team to the finals. Don’t act like Howard was a player that nobody wanted. Every team would’ve loved to have him before he joined the lakers

    • @fliiguy247
      @fliiguy247 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      gcn2017 So let me put these things in context. As a Laker fan we had the pleasure of one of the most dominating players ever in Shaq before he came. Dwight was not ready for the spotlight of Los Angeles or to rise above the level he was as a player when he came. It's a shame our team even tried convincing him to stay. When I say trash that doesn't mean he is not a good or capable player. I just mean he was undesirable generally and I never wanted him here when he came and was glad to see him go when he left.

    • @fliiguy247
      @fliiguy247 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      gcn2017 future reference try really hard in the future the have a discussion with someone without having to resort to preemptive name calling. Calling someone a dumbass doesn't promote healthy discussion.

    Not a single thing in life that the type of mind set “mamba mentality “ doesn’t apply to. It’s hard work consistency and dedication to a craft and hard work and appreciating the process of hard work. LA born and LA native black Latino white we all loved Kobe for what he taught us. Just some love to everyone on my part today . Keep your heads up my human beings and people. All love

      Yeah you don't know what you talking about 😂😂
      David Stern wanted to trade Chris Paul to Lakers for Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom which was a fair deal
      But the owners where complaining to David Stern and the Owners are David Stern boss made him veto trade
      David Stern helped Lakers and Kobe win a ring in 2002 when the robbed the Kings in Game 6 in 4th quarter 27 Free throw attempts
      Even with Chris Paul and Old Kobe Bryant wasn't winning anymore rings or beating a Prime Heat or Thunder or Spurs 😂😂

      Demarco Tony I can only speak for the players I watched live, just like the people who believe Russell or Wilt are the greatest ever, it'll never be a definite answer. 20 to 30 years from now, people will be saying someone else is the greatest ever and people will only know Jordan as the guy that made shoes and same with Kobe and Lebron, Steph, KD, Beard, Russ, AD, Boogie, and the list goes on. Some guy could come along and win 15 in a row, collect 15 MVPs, 15 FMVPs, lead the league in every category, and completely dominate but years after he's gone, he'll eventually start to become an afterthought. It's a continuous cycle

      There’s no guarantee they would’ve won anything. Most likely they wouldn’t have Kobe’s body broke down shortly after that and CP3 is very injury prone.
      And the NBA blocked the cp3 lakers trade because the team had no owner and needed to get back assets they felt would make the team appealing to a buyer
      Its like you guys just started watching the NBA
