It is always problematic to make comparisons between media types for the same story. The constraints and media strengths will always cause differences. Movies, stage plays, and novels experience these as well, my favorite compares are Hobbit and any Jane Austin novel.
That being said the love and attention the anime script writer, voice actors, and anime artists is wonderful and surprisingly loyal to the style, content, and spirit of the manga, just like the manga is to the light novel.
An example where the manga wonderfully embraces the light novel is Ascendance of a Bookworm with another obsessed gremlin: Myne/Rozemyne and her books. The anime art of Seasons 1-3 seemed to fall short in regard to the manga, albeit still wonderful. A season 4 was announced recently and seems to have taken good lessons from Apothecary Diary with a new studio.
So I remain delighted and enthralled with Apothecary Diary anime that is loyal to its roots, yet its art, script, and voice actors have enriched my understanding and enjoyment.

Never compare the style of a manga and anime, a manga doesn’t have mouvements whatsoever, so the author can add all the detail they want to every character and background, but the anime does and some use different animation techniques that need less details on the character to be perfect
