If you learned this by ear, is this in drop C# tuning? I always thought they played in D# Standard. It definitely makes it easier if played in drop C# I see. Absolutely incredible regardless. This song is one of my all time favorites.

Yes, indeed. I figured drop c# was easier for the verses. It was a while ago but what I would do is watch the video/live performance and try to check what tunings they're using. Somehow my memory is telling me confusing things, like one of them is playing in d# standard and the other in drop c#, or maybe they play it in drop c# in the music video but d# standard live, I really don't remember. So yeah sorry I might have just confused you (and myself) even more haha
@ No no you're good my dude! That's what I do as well! I figured I'd ask because you play those power cords in a drop tuning shape instead of standard. Thanks for the info my dude! Playing in drop tunings always makes songs more fun and easy to play!
Thank you! Actually it's drop Db. I watched a couple of their videos (144p live versions...) and I was torn between using Eb standard or drop Db but it came more naturally for me in the latter. They might be playing the song in Eb standard though.
I've been trying to learn this song. What tuning are you you using? I think I've been using C#, but looks like you're in drop D, which would make it easier since that's my go to tuning

I'm using a drop C# tuning for this :) Although the original is in Eb I believe. If you'd like to go with my interpretation though, I'd suggest drop C# haha

Can I ask what pickups are you using? ;))
They are the built-in, stock Washburn humbuckers :)
