This resort is right up there with North Island Seychelles for me. I think some of your viewers are missing the point when they freak out about the cost of staying in such a place. This is a world class LUXURY travel channel, not a bargain hunter's travel channel. And luxury is what I come here to see and dream about, so thank you for the opportunity, Dr. LTE. Glad to see the red suitcase made the trip :-)
I think people just want a little more for their money. I was really bored looking at the accomodations. No style, no luxury, nothing imaginitive here. The location is lovely but you can get lovely locations with either better facilities or lower prices....sometimes both.
@@satsumamoon Yes it depends what your budget and are seeking from your holiday/vacation. From years of working in the hospitality industry, luxury is more about the service you can provide for your guests. Along with the service, some are paying for Privacy.
I have been to Maldives, Seychelles, bota bora, etc and this place is way more $$ than and in my opinion not worth the money compare to other luxury places

Simply stunning ! Really appreciate how the background music can on occasions compliment the scenery and on other occasions there is no music/silence to appreciate the awe and majesty of the surroundings. Also appreciate the comment regarding silence of the venue. Reminiscent of a journey 40 years ago on a Swiss mountain railway. At a station all you could hear were cowbells (no cars or vans, or washing machines or conversation or machinery; just cowbells) can’t remember anything specific else from the trip 40 years - just the sound. All your videos have great soundtracks.

This makes me so nostalgic for Tanzania. Mnemba was already on my bucket list. A more accessible alternative for those interested is Ras Kutani. Similar in many ways but close to Dar. Also has nearby turtle nests. Very integrated with, and supportive of, the local village.

The accommodations are rustic but so tasteful. I want to see how the island gets electricity and where the desalination plant is and where the sewage is stored/processed. The mechanics of such a location are interesting.
I don't want rustic for $1,000 a night / person and with no pool. LOL
Semsem Eini I hear you. For $137 US per night you can stay at the Beach Front Best Western in Dar El Salam. It has a pool and a/c. Same sun, same ocean. I think meals are extra.

Nice to be able to virtually experience these kinds of places, as my station in life will never allow me to do so in reality. Having said that, no windows, no doors...what's to stop the indigenous wildlife from entering your room, and wreaking havoc on you whilst you sleep?!
