Great video! We’re headed to Medicine Bow next month and plan to do some dispersed camping. Have any idea what forest road you were on where you had your camp setup on top of that ridge? Looks like a fantastic place to camp!
Thanks. I certainly do. We were in the Laramie Peak Douglas Ranger District because that part of the area was in the path of totality for the eclipse. We took Fish Creek Road to Fletcher Park Road to Cow Camp (aka Forest Service Road 641A). The lat/long of our camp site is 42.203378, -105.362694
612outdoors com October of 2018 was brutal . We were there the 12-17 and there was snow everywhere and it was in the low teens at night if I remember correctly . What unit/ region did you get drawn for ? We are going back to region j this year .
@@Michaeldpress14 I was drawn for W and can hunt 82, 100 or 131 - hunted 17 once - orange everywhere. Was hoping for some pointers for 82 if you have any?
I am thinking to go there beginning of April but mid summer might be a better time...or both! Nice video!

Wow, thanks so much for the detailed information, I really appreciate it! Take care!
Did you see any mule deer while you were up there ? Going on a public land hunt there in October
Michael P the wildlife was very scarce but we did actually see two adult male mule deer on a hike. They were not very shy and followed us for a while.
Walker Richardson thanks for the reply ! I have a feeling we will do a whole lot of hiking and not much shooting , but that’s fine with us !
@@Michaeldpress14 I plan to do the same - how was camping in october - tent ok in that area? Just going it solo for deer.
