I am retired and traveling cross country constantly as a cargo van hotshot expedite owner operator. Business is slow, so I recently looked into towing. My first tow was an 8500 lb skidsteer loader. Wow! And my second was a "boat". I drove from Michigan to Ft. Myers Florida to pick up. I had no clue what I was getting into. Upon arrival, surrounded by beautiful luxurious Barletta pontoons. From a rural farming community in Michigan, to what appeared to be the lap of billionaire luxury. I couldn't believe I was going to be responsible for this gorgeous luxurious Barletta vessel for the next 19 hours. What a treat. The experience and opportunity was priceless and honorable as a retiree enjoying my golden years.

Appreciate the video, great to see different perspectives out there on certain top brands. Personally, I researched several top manufacturers for month before pulling the check book out. For us married men, and you guys know what I´m talking about, when the wife says ¨go for it¨ after seeing the Barletta, I didn't hesitate. We have a 2021 C22UC, black exterior (beautiful) with tan interior and a 150 Yamaha. WOW, was it a blast! We have the coastal edition, live in Jersey and man did it rip through the rough water in the bay as well as the limited time we spent in the ocean. Great stability, solid, tritoon is the way to go if you are especially in rough water. I will say, the pricing was reasonable for us, compared to the other upscale competitors, and our dealer/sales person was great. We walked away paying under 57K with a boat load of options, interior and exterior lights, Simrad upgraded navigation, etc., all the bells and whistles.....and that price included their prep and dealers fees. We were very pleased!! Believe me. Dealers within a 75 mile radius were NO match to what we paid. The one person below commented saying its like the ¨caddi¨ on the water, its more like the Rolls Royce. That´s what my neighbor at the slip said when he seen it. LOL. Enjoy your Barletta for those boat owners that pulled the trigger. Thanks again for the video, Matt.

Just wanted to say "Thank You" for the solid review. We just signed the paperwork for a 2023 Corsa 23UC with a 300HP Merc Verado. We looked at a large number of pontoons and narrowed is down to 250HP Bennington QSB, 250HP Harris Solstice and a 300HP Barletta Corsa. Some friends in the neighborhood bought a Crest boat from you so we look forward to spending many hours with them on Mountain Island lake once we both get our docks in place.

I grew up in the boat business and have owned numerous boats. My most recent was a Nautique 216 Super Air. I have it up for sale now as I managed to find a beautiful, low hour Barletta Corsa 23 UC. I looked at them when they first came out but just couldn't convince myself to part with the $$$. When I found this 2021 with 85 hrs. I jumped on it!!! I have absolutely no regrets. This boat is built like I would build one. The best of everything. This boat is rock solid and the quietest pontoon I have ever owned or experienced! I love it!!!! I know Barletta is now owned by Winnebago. I only hope that the customer service remains the undisputed industry leader it is known for!!!

Thanks, Captain Matt for all the info on pontoons. I just placed an order for a 23 ft Corsa with a 200 Merc. I did a lot of research and watched quite a few of your videos. It came down to Godfrey, Bennington, and Barletta. Godfrey (at least from what I saw at my local dealer) seemed to have quality issues (logo falling off, boats shipped without complete helms, etc). I am sure some of this is due to rushing orders to meet demand. In terms of features, it seems like you can get a little bit more for the money buying a Bennington. The bowrider feature looked pretty dang cool. My concern, and ultimately why I chose Barletta was quality and transparency. Bennington has endless options but in a market where there are supply chain issues, these options seem to have become a bit of a noose. Certain basic features I wanted weren't available due to lack of supply. What was worse is that I couldn't get a clear production date from my dealer AND I quote 'if prices go up between now and production, the cost will be transferred to the buyer'. You think you'd be locked in after the deal was signed? Ultimately, Barletta seemed a little more organized and I left with a feeling that I'd have the least amount of future headaches. We'll see if their service lives up to their marketing, but I am excited to see what next season brings!

I bought a new 2019 Barletta at the Atlanta Boat Show, and nothing else in the market is built like one. They are super solid and quiet. I'm watching the new boat market, hoping we see some serious discounts this fall, and if we go back to a toon, it will be another Barletta with a 350 or 400 Mercury on the back.
Bill sold to Winnebago a few years ago, and he was still at the 2024 Atlanta Boat Show, shaking hands with Barletta owners and future Barletta owners. We met him at the 2019 show, and he's passionate about his brand. My wife and I went to the original Barletta plant in 2019, which was an impressive building process.

Yesterday, we ordered a 2022 Barletta Corsa 23U Tri-Toon with a 200 Merc. We shopped around and didn't really see a price difference between the equivalent Bennington, Harris or Crest. Bennington, Harris and Crest all build an excellent boat. We've owned those brands in the past. We just liked the Barletta best for how we plan to use it.
BTW: my wife is the one who ended up making the purchase. Thank you, Dear!!!

Thanks for the review. It confirms my personal experience. We purchased our C class last year and have been very pleased with the fit and finish of the boat overall. One of the key things that attracted me to them was their very straight forward floor plan to pricing strategy. pick the class, pick the color and for the most part that’s it. As a first time boat buyer, it was refreshing. The customer support is very good. I would not hesitate to recommend this company or their boats to anyone. Our lake in South Carolina can also get a little choppy by the end of the day, but the boat handles very well ; no rattles or shaking.

  • @Legenderek71
    @Legenderek71 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Absolutely love our Barletta! Ours is an E series (precursor to the Corsa) and I'm always getting compliments on it. It rides great, no rattles, and the support from Barletta is fantastic. I bought ours in Texas when we had a lake house there but we have her on New Mexico now, where there is no Barletta dealer anywhere in the state (closest is our dealer down in Lewisville, TX, The Slalom Shop which is now about 6.5 hours away) yet Barletta has been amazing in helping me resolve the one or two tiny issues I've had. This is our 3rd year having her on the water and will absolutely buy a Barletta whenever (and if ever) I decide to replace this one. Thanks for the great and very fair review!

We bought our 2021 Barletta c24ue in April and couldn’t be happier!! I looked and research for almost 3years until I pulled the trigger. I look at every major brand pontoon out there and I couldn’t find anything that checked off everything on my list besides Barletta. We had our last pontoon for 12 years and I hope to have this one twice as long. I’m not the one that always wants the newest and greatest. But I do want the best at the time of purchase. I work 40-60 hours a week and make a honest living. Have two kids that are my everything. We love anything and everything water related. So glad that Barletta made a c class something that I could afford! It was not cheep but at the $70k mark I felt I was getting my money’s worth after walking through and looking at other boats. Thank you for the videos!! I have watched a lot of them in the last while. Sending thanks from North Carolina

Just got our 2023 cabrio22uc out this past weekend. Handling, ride quality, materials - all a+
Oddly enough, I’ve found the power Bimini to be annoying. It would be easier to just manually put up and down.
Mercury 200L is a great - super quiet engine. Performance is decent - about 38mph with 4 people.
6 speaker hertz audio system is weak - but I added a 12” powered subwoofer and it sounds fantastic now.
Our OTD price was $81k. After looking at Harris, Bennington and crest, all similarly priced, this felt like the most bang for our buck.

I would agree with this, the only thing I would say is the even tho we JUST sold it as we're moving to Florida, Sun Tracker has been awesome about customer service in the time we've owned our XP3. Any time we had a issue with the dealer, they took care of it. I know Bayliner isnt gonna be as good ( moving from PA to Florida ). But they make good cheap center consoles. So I hope our local dealer wont suck

You are right on with one thing, and missed on another, my friend (from my experience). I own a Barletta C class, and it if anything, you understated how much Barletta bends over backwards for you on anything and everything. They role out the red carpet for you when you buy, and even after you buy. They are SO unique, not even in the boating world, but just in general. I give them an A++.
On the other hand, they have one dealer within my area for hundreds of miles. If their intention was to be picky and get good dealers... man...F-- While Barletta has been second to none, their only dealer within hundreds of miles has been F-. Worst customer experience ever in the whole entire world ever and on going.
I loved the video. Good job.

@@BoatBuyersSecretWeapon Thank you, much appreciated. 😊 I don’t want to vent about them on-line, and no, I have not let Barletta know about it. They send a lot of surveys asking, but I just don’t respond. I can’t have the only dealer that can work on my boat (literally the only one for hundreds of miles and I don’t own a trailer) have some kind of grudge against me. I get treated terribly as it is; I can’t imagine how bad it might be if I complained on them, and caused them some kind of grief with Barletta.
It’s bizarre though. If I went through the whole story and various issues, you probably wouldn’t believe me, and think I was exaggerating or fabricating some of it. Thanks for your response and empathy. I still love my boat and get to enjoy it. Keep up the good videos.

I won’t be able to watch this live, but we have a 25 Bennington and some good friends have a Barreletta. Theirs is insane luxury. I think it misses out on some of the better styling by Bennington, Harris, and if your into the sport look manitou, but can’t deny the Caddi on the water. Ours are very similar size we are minus 50hp, they have a 350, and Bennington is a few MPH faster, but could be their added luxury features we didn’t want.

Structure: more cross members = higher manufacturing cost = higher retail price.
Bennington utilizes the typical 24 o/c and is just as stiff, if not stiffer, than other competitors on the market. Bennington does an excellent job of minimizing add'l material costs while maintaining structural integrity and getting boaters high quality pontoons.

@nealblue6413 they are a nice mid-tier boat, and the aluminum construction is good; however, 7-layer marine grade plywood is a proven material that lasts 30+ years.
When you look at the details of the build, quality of materials, and fit and finish, though, in my opinion, they are a mid-tier brand.

The trailer lights back ones quit working and come to find out they were NOT wired properly by Bear trailers.... and left LED light had over 60% water in it and burned out??? Now another issue happened this weekend.,.... the center lid that covers the storage area lifted it only 10 times since I purchased the boat and bammmmm all 3 screws fell out and the also the lid is bending for some reason too?????? This is very very very poor design on a $72K priced boat???????? Even found 2 bolts were NOT at installed on it either????? Well now I have had so many issues with this boat and just thru half the summer so far with a brand new boat......I think I am fed up with it.....AGAIN NO QC was done with this boat and to make things even worse..... Barletta does not even give you a owners manual?????????????????????????????? I will NEVER buy another Barletta boat again........!

I got to say, I did not like the Barletta. It was between that and a Bennington and I ended up going with the Bennington. Barletta’s chassis is built built better, but obviously Bennington’s will never have any issues either.
I am by no means trying to bash Barletta, it’s a great boat, but it literally looked kind of cheap to me as far as the interior goes.
I also don’t think their warranty is as good. 10 years on the Bennington.
Apples to Apples the price was compatible. I almost pulled the trigger on the Barletta but they did not offer a windshield which I have on the Bennington. And their interior just seemed cheaper to me and not as durable.
But they do get a A+ for service. From what I understand it can take quite a long time for Bennington to take care of their customers. I’ll dread that day when it comes.

@@BoatBuyersSecretWeapon Unfortunately I don’t remember the model. I bought a Bennington RSBW. I was looking at comparable boats as far as price range. Also looked at Harris, also looked at crest. I really like the crest as well but only because of the monster windshield they have on there. 😃.
In my opinion there’s so many pontoons out there, I think your video is spot on. You really have to look at and consider the things you don’t see. Like how it’s built, simple things like the ladder, even how everything is wired. You can even get pontoon packages where the logs are a thicker gauge.
Personally there is things on all of them that I wish I could incorporate into one boat. For example Bennington does not have a glove box on the passenger side. Just this giant flat table with two chargers in front of it and three little cubby boxes below it.. If you have a windshield, why on earth would you not have a glove box on the passenger side? I look forward to the next video! Thank you.

One thing regarding the Barletta warranty--everything is covered under their 10 year warranty, other than the motor, and Barletta handles the issues with every part of the boat and never pushes you off to deal with the manufacturer of that piece. They ensure all issues are resolved, so while I can't speak to the warranty on any other boat, I'd be surprised and impressed if any manufacturer has a better warranty than Barletta. I have heard that Bennington handles warranty issues in a similar fashion as Barletta though, so that definitely speaks well about Bennington too

Coming from someone who has sold both Barletta and Bennington, Barletta's claim to be the best could not be farther from the truth. Barletta's interior "looks" good I will end it at that. However they are not built to last I have seen hundreds of Barlettas needing new interiors after just one year. To add to that the electric biminis break constantly. So constantly in fact they have a video on their website trying to teach customers how to remove it when it fails because it is most likely going to. The "Doggy Bowl" is a gimmick spills under the helm and you cannot get under there to clean it out easily. The Doggy view door is a gimmick as well trying to be different because know they can not attract customers away from Bennington, Godfrey, or Harris based on their quality. Another gimmick is the heavily pitched " Vibration Isolation pad" guess what Bennington and Harris have had this on all of their boats for years and years before Barletta was even a thought of but since they are brand new to the industry and do not have years of experience they act like it is some great feat. Choppy looking helm with cheap stereo and if you upgrade to a Simrad gps you still are still stuck with the old analog gauges instead of a clean all digital display. Their railing package on select models looked like an identical literally a rip off of Manitou's LX series if you haven't noticed google image search 2022 Manitou LX and 2022 Barletta Lusso. Not going to say Barletta is the worst boat on the market but they certainly fall behind Bennington, Godfrey, Harris, Avalon, and Tahoe. They have done a really great job at marketing a boat that was built by the RV industry and make every claim that they are the Best!!! ... just ask them haha. People who have been around many Bennington's, Harris, and Godfrey tritoons truly see the quality difference even in the fit and finish. It is a known fact in the pontoon Industry Bennington is the Leader and Godfrey and Harris are right behind them. Barletta is a nicer boat than the middle of the road companies however they are not even in second place let alone the industry leader.

@@EM-sz8mb Not bitter just someone who actually knows tritoons and can point out the good and bad in all brands while not saying everything I review is "the best". Just trying to help people get real information when they are looking to make such an expensive purchase. At the end of the video he says he likes to get the best of the best in all products. Barletta is not even in the same class as a few makes in the tritoon industry.

Update: Well took the pontoon out yesterday and it started fine and ran for 10 minutes and started shaking hard and sputtering badly.... shut it off and restated again with same result then it totally died and would never start again??? Stuck out in lake and couldn't find anyone to helps us out..... so had to swim for 2 hours to physically pull the dead boat back to the dock. I have to say I have NEVER experienced anything like these continuous issues since I started at 19 years old boating and all those boats were not even close to what I spend for this "luxury" boat????
I have lost 100% confidence on this boat and still gaining more issues on floor door (never resolved) bunkers on trailer are coming off and showing bare wood now again toons??
What happened yesterday broke the camels back for me! Again, I have received a TOTAL LEMON of an expensive boat from you all. I am getting REAL tired AGAIN wasting my time and money to take boat back to the dealership again.... this is totally unacceptable to me as a new Barletta buyer. I will NEVER EVER buy another Barletta pontoon.... I should have listened to my gut when I was leaning hard on a Bennington, Avalon, or Harris..... BIG TIME REGRET of buying from a company only 5 years old and just sold out to a RV company for $255 million in cash already!!!

But a couple outboard center consoles are even better... I think Intrepid builds the nicest, most durable, highest quality fiberglass boats period

Some of the observations or claims in this video are just straight up false.
Were you paid by Barletta to make this video?
You claimed they were the “best” in the industry several times.
They are “5 years old” and most of their team came from RV industry. With 5 years of experience compared to 25 years of experience at Bennington or 65 years of experience at Harris… it’s EXTREMELY hard for me to believe these 2 industry leaders have been passed in such a short period of time.
In addition the some of the things you touched in like the VIP pad that is Barletta exclusive… HA!!!! It’s been used by 75% of the industry for the last 20 years.
Bottom line… EXPERIENCE MEANS SOMETHING. I will stick to one of the companies that has been in business and has a track record of being “the best”.
