Even here in Kenya it's that way, I tried to purchase a euphoria audio interface for my home studio recording from , the price is 6900 Kenyan shillings but shipping cost is 9500 kenyan shillings
Hi Kriz. To import to Kenya from anywhere in the world it costs 15 dollars per KG (by air). You get your items in under 2 weeks and no extra duty is charged. This means you can import an iPhone at only 15 USD! The government allows it to make it easier for the people.
my experience when i had to ship my SSL hardwares to Nigeria 😀😀😀 After shipping, customs would be waiting for you... many billing ooh. Just look for who is coming to Nigeria, be patient, that's what i think is the cheapest route
its crazy,in kenya we have alternative companies that cuts off the absurd taxes and fees,I think with little research you can find one of the companies.Avoid DHL,FedEx, etc.If I was Nigerian I would have found one
Krisbeatz you're talking about even big stuffs here lol, we that are struggling producers that are starting to setup our bedroom studio what are gonna say, things are so expensive. It's very difficult to chase your dreams in this our country man.. a 5inch studio monitor i bought 100k 2 years ago is now 250k it's crazy!
Never Ever Use Fedex Or Dhl to ship in Africa ,, thy cost too much & i’m bout to order focal alpha twin evo too i use Thomann thy use DHL ship to Posta Let’s Go ,., there is where some one i know can help me wth clearance Plus don’t use sweetwater thy crazy😅
That Price is way out of line, what? The issue is Nigerian has more damage repair to do so the seller can ship directly to Africa, My suggestion will be to Speak with a Sweetwater rep. to see if you can get direct shipping to your address in Nigeria, if not try B&H Photo if they will also not ship to you, then have a link here that will help you connect to a local shipping company that deals in an irregular package, the price will be reasonable, This is what we get when some bad among us create this dubious image and affect those that are upright.
Cargo is cheaper but can only take more days than dhl or fedex. Even using DHL, fedex and co are expensive within Africa, I experience it from South Africa to Nigeria
I once tried to mail an admission letter to Naija it was $100, just a one page letter. Africa is over regulated to undermine her development. It’s the same with important technology that can develop our country. Buy flight ticket for someone who wanna visit Nigeria and let them pack it as extra luggage.
In Rwanda if you want something online from outside the country. You have to be ready to pay about four times the price you see online! African leaders have betrayed usooo!
@@worldwaveradio_ it may or may not apply to Nigeria but I'm very optimistic it's available. Here in Ghana they're called door to door shipping. They'll go to wherever the item is, pick up and add it to their container and send it to your doorstep. You don't have to pay any clearing fee or anything. The only disadvantage is that it takes a while since it by sea, so I usually buy my gears from thomann in Europe and have it sent to the UK or France. From there it only takes about 3 to 4 week to get to Ghana. I even have Lauten audio FC 387 and SSL six mixer on the way coming. If you're not in hurry, that's the best option , or you wait until someone is coming. In that case you have to buy extra luggage and then deal with the airport officials yourselves. I've used that method too a couple of times.
@@worldwaveradio_ if you don't mind coming to Ghana too ,I can link you up with a very trustworthy guy who can get you any gear you need in this world. There's no top producer or musician in Ghana that hasn't gone to that guy for a thing or two. If you have someone here too, he can deal with him for you and later Nigeria them to you in Nigeria. That will only take a day. I had my krk vxt 6 sent via riat to me in Benin republic. It only took one day to arrive
All these companies don't ship certain brands to Africa, even here in Zambia has the same issue to buy gear you have to use a third party shipping companies. Sweetwater/Vintage King are the same. Just racist if you ask me.

My uncle helped me to bring my digital mixer/recorder free 9f charge.

I’m going through this same issue too
I feel the major issue is from the US though. Even the shipping fee from US on ebay is crazy like....

1000% facts
We've had similar problems with trying to get equipment to our producers out there
So what did them celebrities you mentioned say to help. That no other way than to pay those exorbitant fees?
In Rwanda if you want something online from outside the country. You have to be ready to pay about four times the price you see online! African leaders have betrayed usooo!
Ask your friend to ship it through local cargo's ....remembered that's how I shipped my Apollo twin x cos the shipping fee it's absurd.
In Sierra Leone is even very too expensive cos you will order a gagdet of 2mill and pay a shipment of 15mill
I relate its so so hard

@@worldwaveradio_ heroshe you can ship to them and they deliver it to nigeria
Check it out heroshe that’s what it’s called
Naaa lol this is so so wrong
You need a door to door shopping
DHL or FedEx in Africa is shit
My 3k dollar WesAudioNGbus cost only about $300 to Ghana
If you like, we can bring it to Ghana then send it to you in Nigeria
Just use door to door shipping. It may take a while, but it cuts the frustration
@@fredowusu22 how do they do that ?
