I went to a show cave in Arkansas once and i couldn't even go down the steps to the lower level. I was too terrified, and this was a tiny set of steps compared to what i see here.
Was it Blanchard Springs Caverns? I work there too! This is Blowing Cave in Cushman, Arkansas. You can visit on open house Sunday and just explore the entrance. No stairs!☺️🦇 The wild caves are by reservation only.

Except for the woodland, gate, and well trampled mud the flowing wet I'm reminded of what was the longest known river found under a State County Seat. Have my cartography ; 15 feet of it on 50 year old paper.

The carvings are from early explorers to the cave. The limestone is soft, so they etched their names and dates. (It is the only names that will be left as I continue to do clean up.) There is still a lot of graffiti from spray paint that I am working to remove. I estimate in two years, I will have it all gone. There is also a signature in the front of the cave that is dated to be from 1924! It has a very long history. Blowing Cave, Cushman Arkansas. 🦇

The cave entrance was once a mahoosive room. I'm betting big enough to let a jumbo jet park its nose in there. The ground you're walking round 0:04 is a false floor that's resulted from the collapse of the old room and creation of the new entrance. Shame is collapse, because again... it must've been truly enormous just by casual look at the way the terrain is laid out as you guys approach it.
Where does that water go? For years kayaking South ssauty creek we noticed water foing into a couple of holes on the left side of the river. When the rivr was low, the water did not go into the holes. Then all of a sudden, we noticed a whirlpool below bone crusher rapid on the right. Over the next few years the hole grew larger and larger taking more water. When the water was low, no water went into the hole and we could look down a long ways. During the summer the creek would be dry down at Bucks Pocket State park. I assumed there were other holes swallowing the water. Since the Tennessee River is not far away, I assumed that the water was headed for there, but who knows?

I was looking the whole time for footprints or sign of human altercation of terrain. I didnt see a thing I believe, he found virgin passage in a already exsisting known cave.( could always look up the map and find out though)
This section is not on the map. The video does not do the climb justice. It is nearly vertical, and the rocks climbing up are loose. The orange is flowstone. When we get a lot of rain, there is a waterfall in that section.
I left a comment a while back about an undocumented cave called a “bottomless pit” near Due West, SC. I just learned that the instructions for finding the cave are in a book called “A Place Called Due West.” The cave is definitely going to be on private property, so if y’all wish to explore it, ask permission from the landowner first.
Something tells me your a semi safe guy when it comes these types of adventures cause wow.. you squeeze through very tight spaces. I see rocks will slightly move and what if that’s all it takes? Be safe!! Omg lol
