I literally don’t care about baseball at all but I played it when I was younger but I love watching him teach bc it applies to disc golf which I am obsessed with and it ends up being the exact same principles

Richard, the constant stretch is clutch and your vid a few weeks ago in the hand pause kind of threw me for a loop. Appreciate you speaking on that. So many of my hitters just have a goal to get to a spot with their load. ‘My knob is at the catcher,’ but are literally just chilling there. The constant stretch demands the scap stay in proper position, locking the rear arm into place as they tilt. Huuuuuuge!!!! Appreciate what you do. Hoping to find a way to come see you after your life slows down.

This video is so helpful. Could never figure out why my hands wouldn’t stay back, but your point about the continuous pulling of the leg AND the back really helped things click. Also understanding that rearward snap IS the swing. Almost like you’re slicing the ball upwards with the knob from behind the leg

I'd love to see a breakdown of Ohtani's swing. His "early foot down" seems to go against your theory of lifting the front leg while coiling the back, yet he produces tremendous power. I guess im looking to emulate Ohtanis quiet load while also being able to use your coiling/launch angle approach. Thx in advance

His heel being off the ground is an indicator that almost all of his weight is on his back leg. The problem with no stride is that with some people, it’s easy to accidentally put too much weight on the toe of your front foot. That’s why some people who see Ohtani’s no stride think that he has weight on his front foot. Because those people are probably putting too much weight on that front foot when they try it, so they don’t get the same feel that Ohtani has

What are the 2 most important takeaways that would apply to a slow pitch swing?

    Hitterman,
Could you please do a quick video about gripping the bat?
My son points his upper hand's thumb upward along the bat and I believe he is losing some power.
Your answer would be a blessing...Thank you.

Hi sir, I've found a problem when I swing using your method. After the snap I rotate and there is a point when my hands are blocking the view to the ball. This happens mostly for high pitches on the tee. What a I doing wrong for this to happen? Is this a common issue you see with your pupils? I appreciate any thoughts. Thank you for putting your knowledge out there for us and for being brave enough to confront the old hitting methods out there with confidence.

Do you think you could translate this motion into improving a disc golf back hand throw? It is a very similar “hit” motion.

I find it difficult to keep both your hands on the bat throughout the whole swing with your method. Why?

What percentage of your students would you guess just are not going to get your swing? In other words, when to stop, they’re just not going to get it?

I coach 12u and 14u softball and it is very tough to get everyone doing this. With my mix of girls they only work on it at batting practice. My daughter is the only one really doing it because she works on it at home.

Why not start the bat position with knob pointing to pitcher initially And not have to snap
