This dope, and deep. I remember the first time I realized it really did effect me not having a dad. He had already died. Me and the homies just randomly talking, and all them talked about why they loved to go fishing. I was hurt. I don't have 1 good memory of that dude and it's too late to create. Im tearing up now
I can relate alot to what 21 was saying the last minute and alot of kids feel that way to, my mom was a single parent and I hated asking her for stuff when we would eat soup and pasta dishes every week. And also providing for my other brothers and sisters, I couldn't wait to get a job to buy my own stuff and also help her with things she wanted and groceries. I have to admit it feels me with joy helping my mom out when she was in a tough spot because she did the same for me until I got a job and started taking care of myself.
As a father I think it's dope how buddy called him on the situation with his dad. Sometimes as a child you misinterpret things your parents do. I can easily see a man going "you don't NEED a phone" and a child misinterpreting that as "You don't care". The brother put it in a way to be received well too. A good man who didn't make ALL the right choices AKA everyone!
Much love to Math Hoffa and the gang. My mom took me and my siblings back to Barbados between 1990 to 98. Then she moved us back to the states after my first kidney transplant in 97. I definitely relate to this.
They can last for quite some time(many yrs) if the kidney is 100% healthy, you remember to take you’re meds on time, stay hydrated, stay away from sick people and stay proactive with your doctors. When you loose your kidneys, yes you will have to do dialysis treatments or/and get another transplant. Hope I answered your questions efficiently.

I have a son a few years younger than Savage. I was fully engaged in his life long distance. BUT in the 90s, 2000s, there was no amazon, no buying online and shipping toys gifts. I remember going to Kmart, Walmart and buying gifts THEN buying a box and shipping Xmas cross country and not even there to see them open. There was no FaceTime. There was no cashapp. It used to cost $20 to western union money in the 90s. Send $50 and pay $70 when you ALREADY broke. What I'm saying is, distance parenting was SUPER hard before technology.
