I have been watching a ton of videos on these two cameras (X-S10 and X-T4). However, still not sure which one I would go with as a first time camera user. At first I was looking into Sony cameras such as the A7iii, but the lack of articulating screen was kinda sketchy to me and then I saw the A7C but factoring in the cost of the camera and then the lens was kinda a turn off. So decided to go with Fuji since the camera and lens are reasonably priced. So as someone who has used both the X-T4 and X-S10 I am looking for your professional advice on which to purchase as my first. PS: I binged a great deal of your videos 😅 and trust me I am sold with these amazing cinematic.

Nice to hear about that, Well I used to try lot of brands for the last 5~6years now. And at the end I felt in love with Fuji system coz nowdays you have even better (and cheaper) choices in lenses with APSC cameras than Full-frame cameras.
Second reason is: I love the color science of Fuji.
And the last reason is the design of cameras!
and now, if I can answer to your question about which one is the best between X-S10 and X-T4... well If you budget is okay to buy an XT4, I will for sure tell you to buy the XT4 over the XS10.
But its also depends on what you will shoot most of the time.
If its photography, then XS10 is enough coz they have the same sensor.
If its videography then you should ask yourself what kind of video you will make out of it. if Its a Vlog video where you talk. then you don't need slowmo so you will be good enough with the XS10 (you can do slowmo but only in FHD and not in 4k). If you will do more cinematic videos or even commercial shooting then I will suggest you to take the XT4 since it shoot in h.256 10bit. (Just a better quality of images but if its only to upload on youtube it doesnt matter)
Well.. but since you told me that you are beginning with cameras..then in my opinion, I will get the XS10 and get used with Fuji system and try out if you like this system. And buy a nice prime lens such as f2.0 lenses from fuji for the difference from the price of an XT4.
And then... when it will be time to upgrade your level, I will suggest to wait the XT5 or the XH2 to change it.

Well I want to get into photography and cinematic videos for social media. To make little videos to remember vacation spots and to have it in my memory. Nothing of the processional type as yet since I want to slowly go into it. I have the budget of up to $3000. I usually only filmed videos from my iPhone, which struggles in low light. So wanted to get a camera that I could use any time of day without hinderances. I can get the X-T4 w/ 18-55mm and 35mm f1.4 for around $2900-$3000 or the X-S10 with the same lenses would cost me round $2100-$2200.
Sometimes the dials on the XT4 looks intimidating to be honest.
And Yes your response was mighty helpful.

@@wintez well dials on the top is such a nice looking design but in videography you will never use it. And if I was you.. I will buy the XS10 + Zoom 16-55mm 2.8(best fuji zoom lens by far) and you can do everything from beginning till professionnel shooting with. And spend the rest of the budget in other mandatory accessories such as :
Variable ND filter (must have for videography) + RODE mic (for vlog) + tripod or monopod or stabiliser...ect.

Btw what the difference between the 18-55mm 2.8-4 lens that comes with the camera and the 16-55mm 2.8? Should I just get the body of the XS10 and the 16-55mm 2.8 lens? or get the setup before XS10 w/ 18-55mm kit lens and a 35mm 1.4 lens?

허나... 비추천입니다: 1.무겁고 너무 크다. 2.매크로 쓸 일이 별로 없어서 가격 대비 비효율적.
딱 하나의 장점을 드리자면: 제가 써본 후지 렌즈중 90미리랑 동일하게 가장 선명도가 높은 렌즈. 그리고 OIS가 훌룡하다? 요거뿐이에요 ㅎㅎㅎ (AF도 어두운데선 별로입니다;;)

Thx Faisal! Well the Xs10 is very nice to shoot with especially in handheld since the camera is lighter than the xt4. But of course... this time it didnt help so much coz the lens was very heavy :(
