Have you been able to record past 23 minutes in 4k23fps? I have had no luck with longer recording times. Most of the test that I have seen on TH-cam have not recorded past a couple minutes on the DIY cfexpress type b cards.
Great video! I plan to do the same with a 1tb 2230 drive. However did you encounter any issue with overheating? That seems to be the main concern for using name drives
I haven't experienced any issues yet. Mt last video was recorded in 8k just to test. But my Canon R5c does have active cooling so I wonder if that could have an effect
I've thought the same thing. Unfortunately at this time I can't rationalize the cost since I have 2 working CFexpress cards. I would want to test on e new in the box.
hi I have a question that isn't about this video but rather about your att ip passthrough tutorial (thanks btw). I used it to set up my router but recently the gateway has stopped forwarding traffic to my router out of nowhere. do you have any idea if att made changes recently? if so, do you know how to keep the ip passthrough functioning? thanks in advance.
Hi, as far as I'm aware no changes have occurred. My traffic is still forwarding fine. Did you assign traffic to forward to your router by its IP address or Mac address. If the routers address changed that could cause traffic to stop forwarding. Otherwise I'd say reset the At&t modem and reforward the traffic.
@@IDEAHomeandTech yes I've been using the Mac address for the set up and it was working great then all the sudden last week the router started to get "no internet" errors when I connected to it. I will try your suggestion to reset the gateway and re-set up again. thanks a lot!
Hi, interesting video, thanks for sharing. I have the Lumix GH6, can you tell me which brand SSD 2030 is compatible with the GH6? Thank you.
I would say pretty much any M.2 2230 NVMe ssd but I'd probably stick to reputable brands if possible.

@@IDEAHomeandTech thanks! My Nikon z9 won’t arrive at least in a while, but I will test it on the z9 and see how it performs recording nraw internally
Let me know how it goes. Good luck!
great video, thanks! im wondering, are the speeds of the adapted CFexpress comparable to the brand CFexpress?
