Arcade Heroes when was this game released? And what were the decision making behind selecting the batmobile models in this game. I'm surprised they thought highly of the Schumacher designs and even the Arkham Asylum design -- Schumacher for obvious reasons, but the Arkham series,,,, wouldn't there be copyright issues with Rocksteady? And is the Arkham series widely regarded within the Batman pop culture, as it's relatively new?

My friend and I played this game over the weekend. I picked the 60s Batmobile while he picked the Tumbler. It was so neat seeing two generations side by side.
With so many great batmobiles to choose from, it kind of sucks that there's only six levels in the entire game (each level consisting of six stages) meaning you can't drive all the vehicles in any one single game. Anyway, in my opinion, here are the six coolest batmobiles: The one from the two Tim Burton/Michael Keaton Batman movies The one from the 90s animated Batman series The one from "Batman: Arkham Asylum" The one from "Batman: The Brave And The Bold" The one from "Batman Begins" and "The Dark Knight" The one from "The Dark Knight Rises"
A few from the comics would be pretty cool, too -- like the '40s Ford-type, or the Neal Adams one from the '70s that looked like a Corvette. Lots of possibilities.
I got to try it out at Dave and Busters on Saturday! amazing! If this ever gets to be on PSN! I'd get it and maybe new DLC (better off included!) like Beyond, Beware, both from The 04 and Arkham Knight! Maybe even the Bat Tank from Frank Miller's Dark Knight Returns!
The only 3 Batmobiles I wish this arcade game has is Batmobile from Batman Arkham Knight, Ben Affleck Batmobile from Batman V Superman movie and Robert Patterson Batmobile from The Batman 2022 movie. Those 3 Batmobiles would have been more awesome along with those Batmobiles.

Though the Air-to-Ground missions are a teeny-bit disappointing: Only 'The Bat'(Dark Knight Trilogy) is usable. Overall, gameplay is Very good (and so is the voice acting), DO try this, even though it sounds old-school.

Quite a few were sold out there - I still have one - although sometimes operators will sell them off. I wouldn't be surprised if a few collectors grabbed them or some have ended up overseas (if you used to have them in your area)
The company that developed it is no longer in business (Specular Interactive). Between that and licensing, the chances of this ever seeing any official home port are next to zero. :/

Played this at my local arcade at the mall a few years back. I remember being proud of myself after managing to defeat Mr. Freeze on hard mode.
They removed it from my Chuck E. Cheese. I was devastated when I walked in and my favorite game was gone.

As a longtime Batman fan I totally agree these are the best, but I would also add the 60s Batmobile too.

That's part of Superman canon and is not part of Batman canon. Batman was merely a guest in Dawn of Justice.

He may not kill, but every time he crashes onto an enemy vehicle, he takes the criminals inside them all alive and send them to the Arkham Asylum.
