Psaltery or chicotén. Curious string musical instrument made by luthiers

Already at the dawn of the Christian era, the Greek philosopher Athenaeus documented among the chordophone instruments one similar to the zither and the harp, with a wooden harmonic box in the shape of a long trapezoid, which was played with a plectrum: the psaltery or chicotén. . With some luthiers from the La Charamella workshop in Zaragoza we were able to learn in the year 2000 how these musical instruments were built.
