So it seems people are the same all over this world and no one race is actually superior to any others as everyone everywhere behaves the same. Poor manners everywhere. I am an elderly American man with a little American Indian Blood in my Veins and I play Guqin. Because I play Guqin that is the real reason that I came and listened to this video. When I read the comments I learned, we are all the same. No one misses a chance to insult someone else. Sad, sad sad. Lets not give up, lets all continue to become civilized.
In ancient days, the playing guqin is to 修身養性 cultivate oneself to behave righteously n be gentleman so that one can be a 君子 man of virtue n held in respect by clansman and society. As music transcend the thoughts n minds of a cultured person, most players of guqin are also well learned scholars and poets in Chinese history. This ritual is performed to honour the sage Confucius who played guqin as part of cultivating to be a righteous person. Though culture faded after long history, this act of paying respect to past Sage should stlll be respected n honoured no matter how simple or detached from current practice.
Who is the musician? how can I search his other pieces? it seems the instrument is using natural made string rather than modern plastic or steel strings. Extremely inspiring.

袁老师似乎今天状态不好？怎么沙音这么严重？
侯禹光 管平湖先生是近代大陆公认的古琴大师，他弹奏的幽兰也差不多是这样的。幽兰这首曲目是目前发现有琴谱的琴曲中历史最悠久的，据说是孔子创作，所以不是老师弹奏技术不好，是琴曲的特色
用了很多泛音而已。
