Very interesting podcast guys! I myself, feel very sad about the current trend of detailing on social media. Since we detail as a business our way of detailing and showing our methods don’t jive with the Status Quo of detailing, but what we do is real….social media and TH-cam push what’s fake or what sells, even though people want “real” it’s actually hard to find now. Great job guys, loved to watching it.
Thank you for taking the time to watch Phil! I hope you and Jess are doing well! I know it's only one person's opinion, but I truly, truly enjoy watching your channel and seeing you guys in your element. Keep it up!
LOVE LOVE this! Such a fun and eye opening episode. Happy to call JB a great friend and this episode couldn’t have shown his character in a more positive and professional manner. Keep bringing the industry the real content, Jimbo!
...and you guys keep bringing the quality products AND great & speedy customer service inquiries, I'm 100% onboard with ADS and look forward to what's coming next, as well as replacing favorites from you📣
Thank you for sharing your experience and continuing to prove you’re the best Reacher-sized gentleman in the detailing space, Joey! And a big thanks to Jimbo for the shoutout! He’s correct that Anthony never stops razzing me 😂
Great episode Jimbo, we didn’t know how much we needed to hear this. Hearing JB tell his experience of working with other detailers in the industry definitely leave me flustered that something could be handled so poorly. There’s so much happening behind closed doors we really have to be careful who we get in bed with when it comes to business. Just because some of us might see it as a hobby doesn’t mean we can’t be taken advantage of. More people need to follow the golden rule, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” Thanks for sharing your story JB.
The hardest thing for me to come to terms with is that our 'Keep it real' guy Eddie would sever ties with someone as genuine as JB while getting involved with someone as disingenuous as Pan.
Im just a newby enthusiast in this world, but I like a lot of consumers are guilty of buying into the hype and are probably suckers for buying the products of these “influencers”. Very eye opening to hear the behind the scenes and the difference between what they want you to see and what they really are. The majority of social media is filtered fake bs but even knowing that, its easy for consumers to buy into whatever is being said by the guy who is literally trying to make your money, his money.
Boss, you are not the only one who fell victim to the hype. However, there are only a few detailers that I watch now. Only three, Jimbo, Details, and OSITO.
Honestly, I could barely even watch this. JB talking about THOR the way he did, I was really taken aback. His behavior, demeanor, and respect didn’t meet my expectations for someone in his position…IT TOTALLY EXCEEDED THEM! Great episode gents, Joey and Alex are class acts. I really enjoyed this one 🍻 PS - I could barely watch because I was driving. I would’ve literally crashed if I tried to watch.
This was a win Jimbo! You are so much better at this, than plugging your own products.. The hype is getting boring, and its sickening watching two grown men, fluffing Pan. Two guys talking about their experiences, no selling.
@@kevkav5680 that’s not the content I was talking about. Find the “Hater” vid. In E & J’s situation, they seem to have been offered a life changing deal. It’s unfortunate they have to play with Pan. It's been going on for ages in every industry, but the clearest example in the age of online detailing was when DPC spent years hounding other creators and bashing products, building up a rabid fanbase of aggressively-skeptical detailers who wanted "the truth"...until one day, when he revealed that he was going to carry a whole line of towels, chemicals and more, cashing-in on a base of people who, through his manipulations and narrative-building, had become self-selecting marks for his game. That was the clearest example of the playbook I had ever seen, but plenty of others have followed a similar path with varying degrees of success. To truly be effective, the manipulator needs to, (on some level) believe the story they're weaving is true. (This almost always starts as little white lies, but by the end they're high on their own supply and don't even realize it anymore)
@Gr8DaneFilms yes it's this is true...a companies biggest enemy is a informed consumer so what did they do ...take control of the information so now there the ones who are informing the consumer with out them even knowing it!!!

I’m in the UK and I maybe naive in saying this but we don’t really have the same “ detailing culture” that you describe here but what you describe sounds like what happens in many business fields. Having worked in HR (don’t hate me 😂) and leadership roles what I hear from this interview and what I see from THOR (full disclosure I do follow them on social media) is huge naivety on their part and a massive lack of communication (the source of most problems in relationships of any kind whether business or personal). If they were bound by a NDA then obviously that makes it difficult for them to communicate what they were doing but it sounds like whoever is bankrolling THOR (and clearly it was never Eddie and Jamie, there is no way would have that sort of up front cash, there would need to be investors) wanted professional detailers (probably why you weren’t asked JB) who would be “all in” and brought with them already popular detailing channels ready for marketing the products that were going to be distributed. It sounds like they got swept up in what for them was and is a very exciting venture and sadly you and Alex were collateral damage. I suspect E&J didn’t for one second think “gosh how with JB and Alex feel about this and how do we beat communicate this to them so they understand and don’t feel hurt by it” because it just never occurred to them - not because they are horrible people but because they just didn’t think. @BrillianceAutoSpa I'm curious, do you know what a "podcast" is?? It's a talk show format, a place to get the "rest of the story". We heard the "other side" on a video the other side posted. Sorry you missed it. It was the best BS you could've watched. JB DESERVED to tell his story! Don't for one second you are allowed to take that away. You're problem with Jimbo is very obvious btw.
He's not a hypocrite. In an interview you can't just ignore the issue. It's part of JBs story. Jimbo spent just the right amount of time. Most of the interview was about other things. Don't worry about Jamie and Eddie...there's no such thing as bad publicity.
Is it strange if it's all the same operation? Old Navy/Gap/Banana Republic are all the same operation. Different levels of offerings for different groups of people.

There was way too much negativity being thrown around without hearing the other side.
Even though it wasn't Jimbos intention, this turned into a hit piece against Jamie and Eddie.
Jamie and eddies silence is deafening AKA Pam’s puppets!
He's not a hypocrite. In an interview you can't just ignore the issue. It's part of JBs story. Jimbo spent just the right amount of time. Most of the interview was about other things. Don't worry about Jamie and Eddie...there's no such thing as bad publicity.
The stutter makes this a VERY hard listen.
Appreciate the feedback!
