Thank you Zeddy. Some advice when it came to stage 1. Instead of trying to follow what is written on the page, I read and recorded myself using my phone first. Then played it back in one take. Take note to speak slowly to allow yourself sometime to make the moves.
The maze type ones like this first and the other from the previous card back brings back a lot of memories of trying to navigate the darkness areas in the original Bard's Tale. Instead of using the arrow keys to move around and moving forward to see if you get an "Ouch" from hitting a wall you have mobs being invulnerable and you attack certain others.
This reminds me immensely of the puzzle mounts they added in WoW, such as the Lucid nightmare where people tested all kinds of bonkers stuff to progress the steps.

This has got to be the single most annoying thing I've ever done in this game, holy moly. Not even fun in the slightest, incredibly tedious to complete
Thing is I don't see any creativity in this puzzle. It's just hard for the sake of hardness. I can't imagine someone solving it the right way. The only way is cheating of brute forcing it (although it would take an eternity, probably)

Personally, I find it very tedious to do this kind of file, they are not fun or accessible for any average player, they are only a small, tiny minority who are in charge of decrypting them. I don't understand why Blizzard tries so hard to create content to please that very small portion of players, but nevertheless they are not concerned about pleasing other types of players such as single players or those who play control, which personally I think there must be a lot more than those who are interested in doing these puzzles, even if they are still a small number, they are more of those who are looking for this type of content.

Cool card back and bravo to those who solved the puzzle but I'm insulted that Blizzard thought such a collosal investment of time and collaboration was well rewarded with just a card back. Certainly not worth my effort.
@@jasonsmith4114 None of this was brute force. Part 1: Maze that's mapped out. Unless you count finding your way in a maze brute force. Part 2a: There's 900,000 values you can set the minion to, and if you are wrong puzzle resets and the answer changes. You can't realistically brute force it. Part 2b: I don't know how the numbers are derived, but it wouldn't have been brute force - once you are wrong you are back at the start of Part 2. Of course as is known turns out the client logs leaked data that pretty much skipped this anyway.
right? and i keep trying to look for someone that figured out a formula when i feel like trying again cuz everything i came up with failed, i don't want to tediously follow along to get this done -.-

These puzzles are so fun to solve with the community and probably take 5 minutes to create, and they announced they are thinking about nerfing seedlock so just stop
It likely takes little effort for them to change what something does. They wait until they are sure of what to change as data comes in. You really think its all about man hours when they take weeks to change the mana cost of something? No.
I actually finished this a few hours before the video, but no I used a guide The first puzzle is honestly harder than the second one, the second one the guide just gave a short maths lesson and that was that, but the first puzzle is bonkers
@@jenrobsreevanich8755 okay so, the tribes correspond to a number in your hand, for example, the Demon is 1 because it is the first card in your hand from the left, and you count it like that, but the card on thebrightmost side is 0 because no double digits. The health value is calculated vefore the attack, this is done by adding all of the health values of the cards in between the ?? And all the cards in between them on the enemy side, after getting a value, let's say 123 for example, you then use the tribe cards in your hand to put into the ?? But in reverse, so if you got 123 you put in the Elementals (which is 3) then mechs, then demons. Then do the same for attack. NOTE: that before calculating health, you must assign tribe to ?? You do this by adding all the TRIBE values of the cards, for example, if you have elementals, mechs, and demon, then that would have 6 (demons are 1, mechs 2, elementals 3), so you would add the Dragon tribe to the ??.
I tried to do this. The first part takes like 20 min. The second part is way more complicated at first but takes like 20-25 min for me, so all in all doable under an hour.

Well, The main problem i have with this video. For the stage 2 start. You need to 'lunar esclipe' "Ysera the Dreamer'. It doesnt work if you 'lunar esclipe' "Ysera, the unleashed' Or any other random ysera there might be in the game.
my anxiety kept going up as I got closer to finishing part 1. Kept stressing out I would skip one even though I was never at risk of doing so lol. I don't even know why I bothered, I didn't even have Priestess of Elune so I had to craft her, and I also don't really play this game anymore
I really don’t understand what the point of this is. Sure there are some people with PhD’s smart enough to solve these. But for everyone else it’s boring fucking data entry. Really not sure where the fun is. I get no sense of accomplishment unlocking a card back by retracing someone else’s path. Whatever I guess, it’s not like I HAVE to do it. I just wish it was possible, hard but possible, for non MENSA members to crack on their own.

@Yash Rajani true, i noticed it probably was a decision from the devs to have a easy do it yourself puzzle and another one that takes a entire community effort (kinda like in the barrens puzzles that had basically 4 puzzles each with a different difficulty scale with 2 extremely hard "gather the community" type puzzles)

As someone who quit hearthstone a long time ago but still watches HS content for entertainment every now and then.... This seems extremely retarded to me on Blizzard's part. And by "this" I mean the idea that you should concieve a puzzle like this where only the 0.1% of the most extremely brainiac of players who also have MIT degrees as well will solve it... And they will have fun doing it.. Meanwhile everyone else is stuck drooling at the screen and following a google doc. I don't think anyone feels like they "earned" this cardback except for the google doc authors.

Figured it out. If it it was later made a dualtype I used the original type. If it was released as a dualtype, I used the type listed on top.
