Clay : I am average guy I enjoy it so much when u go over the basics in detail ... Just take your time with boat and gear it is very important and full of knowledge ....thank u Clay.
I recently met Clay, after having seen some videos uploaded on TikTok, I recognized him. He is very very genuine and I’d take his input knowing he’s a professional.
Great walkthrough Clay! Love the pathfinder! Congrats to you and Stephanie on the news of your new daughter on the way!! I have a ten your old daughter and she is such a daddy’s girl. She loves watching TH-cam videos on fishing with me and is a big fan of you guys and the Gale Force Twins.
Thank you! That's awesome to hear. Glad she enjoys fishing videos along side of you. I hope that my daughter enjoys it as much as I do. Thanks for the support on the channel.
Great walkthrough and you really did a good job with rigging and choosing your electronics and it’s not over done and has the right amount of everything.
I looked at the 2400 Open, very cool boat. Living on the NC coast, I like the inshore fishing but also like trolling, shark fishing and slow trolling live bait for freshwater striper when I go inland. The open area for trolling with downriggers and pulling planer boards beats trolling off of my 24' bay boat (with rear casting deck) all day. Depending on the market, thinking about replacing my bay boat next year, leaning hard toward the 2400 Open. The only con's I see with this boat is lockable rod storage when traveling. I go to Marathon Fl a couple times a year and up to Smith Mtn lake VA. Very nice to store 10 rods in lockable compartment overnight instead of unloading the boat every day. I do wonder about the ride, hope to find a dealer with a demo to go on a sea trial this year. On video, they don't look as smooth in a chop as some other bay boats. My Sportsman 247 is much lighter with a 15 degree deadrise, exceptional ride in rough water and very dry.
We really enjoy the boat. I can agree with the rod storage, it would be nice to have that feature on the boat. We had it on our 2300 and loved it. It makes traveling easier. Contact your local pathfinder dealer for a sea trial. Thanks so much for the support on the channel!
The new Yamaha full maneuverability, the steering, the binnacles, the throttle response and how it keeps the engine speed where you have it is all amazing. I had the Merc joystick system before, granted it was gen 1, but I have been so impressed with these Yamaha 300s
Great video. Would like to see a video on how you use the forward facing sonar in saltwater. I’m familiar with it n freshwater but curious to see how you use it.
Thanks Bruce! We will definitely have updates on how to use it as we become more familiar with it. It's still very new to us. I appreciate you following along on our channel.
Beautiful boat ! Had some interest a couple years back for a pathfinder bayboat but read many clients saying they had issues on hull delamination so went elsewhere !
A boat opens up a whole new adventure you can’t have with a car . No matter what size they are fun and can be great for family outings ! Do your homework and be smart with your purchase ! Nice presentation & boat ! ❤
You rock this Walkthrough. the pathfinders sales team couldn't have done any better than this, this is because these boats are part of your life, you have spent so much time on them. I will defintely get one or two of these the slightest chance I got.
Thanks for the thorough walk through. I learned things about the boat I didn't know. I previously owned a Sportsman 247 Bay Boat, which I liked, but see a lot of things I like better on the Pathfinder
Been looking at the Sea Hunt BX 25 FS lately with those super wide Carolina flared front ends and tempered glass around the center console. Ultra tempting lol. Maybe once they drop below $50k.
Very nice boat for sure. I was looking at getting the retractable straps for my boat. I have a concern that the saltwater will quickly corrode them thus making them unusable (even while washing them with salt-away). Have you had any issues and what brand do you use?
Ameratrail uses boat buckle, as a second review I’m sure he likes his but he and I have them in the stainless version and I’ve never had an issue with saltwater messing them up just hose down properly
^ correct, we have an Ameratrail. WE have not experienced any issues but we do hose them down properly afters salt exposure. We appreciate you following along on our channel.
Stellar review Clay and spot on about nothing being perfect. Excellence however is achievable with the right research and knowledge when purchasing the right boat for your needs. If memory serves me correctly, Pathfinder has been making boats for a quarter of a century. In that time I have been completely impressed with their design evolution and craftsmanship. You have chosen your excellence well in this amazing boat Clay. This video should be a perfect guide by a real pro’ for anyone considering purchasing a fishing-diving-playing machine with chops!
Thanks so much! They’ve done an incredible job with their designs. They really take the time to perfect their boats. They listen to suggestions and take action. We appreciate all your support as always.
Clay, Will you do an in-depth review on your new Garmin trolling motor and how it works with your Garmin screens? A lot of us in the Midwest debate between Lowrance and Minnkota. I think Garmin might be the best of them all.
Nice boats, for sure! I have a 2021 Blazer Bay 2440 for sale in Cutler Bay. 2 power poles and a trolling motor added. Excellent boat for the Keys and Biscayne Bay. Handles well offshore, too!
Good Morning Clay I met you in the keys when we were heading to the Dry Tortugas and you were just getting back from there. I had a 28 Cobia but sold it this year and I'm looking to get a 24 trs Pathfinder. I just had a couple of questions how does it handle if it gets 2 to 3 foot seas and do you get wet from splash? TIA and Congrats on the new baby girl.
This is the first time I’ve watched one of his videos all the way through, because I really don’t care for catch and cook videos, I thought this was great 💯👍
Thanks for the extensive walk-thru. I'm looking forward to getting one these soon. Need to get the home on the water and then the boat. I do have one question, do you know how high the tower is off the water? Looking for how tall a bridge needs to be in order to fit under it. :). Some neighborhoods require transit under a fixed bridge and I wasn't sure if the height was 11ft or lower. Thanks and keep the great content coming. Love the series and congrats on your first child, beside the pupper of course. 😀
Congrats to you! Not exactly sure what the height is but it clears all the bridges on expressways etc. As far as navigating under bridges, your local realtor will be familiar with clearance of bridges. If you’re looking in the Keys and need someone to represent you, reach out to Stephanie. She’s very familiar with clearance etc. thanks for all the support!
Thanks. I was referring to the height while on the water. From what I can tell from the information from Pathfinder is that it's about 10.5'. So you'd need to have a bridge higher than that in order to fit under it depending on how loaded you were of course and whether you were at the normal waterline. If you are at the normal waterline floating, then the 10.5' is a rough clearance height you would need. Yeah we can't wait to get there and get the boat and do some fishing. @@LifeByTheBow

Thanks so much for the suggestion. We are still getting the hang of the trolling motor. It’s still very new to us. When we feel more confident doing a review, we will. Thanks for watching!
Now they come out with saltwater garmin trolling motor after I installed a separate mount for live scope pole lol. Does that garmin trolling motor self launch like min kota you had?

Why do y’all insert pics into the video that not even the same boat. Example 12:40 you show an image of a Minn Kota and you are running a Garmin.. Just dose not make since…. Why do that. That is not professional….
If you get children soon, why don't you buy boat where you have kitchen, toilet and rooms... You have to think about your family comforts also not only you fishing comforts
I have three young boys and the 24 open is so perfect for them due to the higher gunnels, head in the console, shade and all around reliability of the boat and motor.
If you wondered what those things are on the back of the boat keep scrolling. He mentions using them to fight a fish and shows a clip of them extended while throwing a cast net- thats it. This review is a joke and a waste of ti.e.
I used to love to watch your videos and kinda looked past the heavy push on the sales pitch in every video for the apparel but the pathfinder boat video was to far for me. You get the boat for free or a heavy discount from pathfinder and I understand they want you to drum up sales for them but I thought the boat tour video went to far. Stay with what got you here. Sorry, I’m just giving my honest opinion. I wish you both the best still!😁
Hey there appreciate the kind words in addition to the feedback! We buy and sell our boats every year and If you go through our video library, boat walk throughs are something we’ve always done on an annual basis from the start of our channel. We get a lot of questions based on our boats, equipment and how we use it. Therefore there’s a lot of people that appreciate all the hard work that went into this video to produce 30 minutes of concrete information to answer all viewers questions. Another thing to note, Pathfinder has only been a partner for about a year. With that being said everything you’ve seen here in this video is genuine. Ultimately I’ve always been a huge Pathfinder fan and everything I’ve said here I tell my closest friends and family. I’m very sorry you didn’t enjoy this video, but that doesn’t mean you won’t enjoy what’s to come in the future. We work our hardest to deliver the best content that we can. Thank you so much for your continued support!
Get a life dude. He’s doing a very informative review for the pathfinder. If you don’t want to watch it then don’t. Yet, you watched it and came here to bitch about it.
I love your videos, BUT I don't watch your videos to get a guided tour of your boat, or try to sold a boat! I'm very sorry but I love to see you guys do catch clean and cooks, and go to beautiful Sandy tropical beaches! No offense but if I want to buy a boat I will go to a boat show! Well I at least hope you got a bonus from the contender people! I am really sorry but I have to give you a thumbs 👎 for this video, really 30 min. Of a boat run down??? I have watched you guys for a long time and this is the first time I have given you a thumbs down 👎. Please stick to your normal fantastic videos. SORRY. 😮😢
If you get a $120,000 boat for half the price I’m sure you’ll do a 30 minute video on it to make them happy. Also, people like boat reviews from professionals like him.

I believe 9 feet exceeds the width of what you can legally trailer if I am not mistaken
Florida Law;

Thanks for watching! It's a fantastic boat.
Every once in a while I see a used center console on sale online for a decent price
If you get children soon, why don't you buy boat where you have kitchen, toilet and rooms... You have to think about your family comforts also not only you fishing comforts
We agree! you'll see something new coming to the channel in a few months. Thanks so much for following along on our adventures.
I have three young boys and the 24 open is so perfect for them due to the higher gunnels, head in the console, shade and all around reliability of the boat and motor.
Single engine ..🤔
For this boat size, as long as it's a Yamaha you can rely on just one outboard.
Did he say “little girls?” As in 2 babies? 🤔
We just have one on the way. WE appreciate you following along on our channel.
Go away nobody cares what you think especially them…

I’m in the market and your insight is appreciated.
Just because they dropped a video doesn't mean you have to watch it. If the title doesn't serve your needs, move on. What a moronic comment and mentality.
I will be in the keys for a couple weeks in July. Love to say hi 👋 to y’all.
I hope you enjoy your vacation! We will be out & about during the summer months. I’m sure you will run into us.
