- Aya Kanai is a media titan. Before giving up her post as Editor-In-Chief of Marie Claire to become Head of Creator Partnerships at Pinterest, she spent nearly twenty years as a magazine editor at Cosmopolitan, Women’s Health and Teen Vogue. Her husband, Todd Bailey, builds circuit panels for rocket ships...and even has a lab in the apartment! Together they have a 3-year-old daughter Rei who, quite frankly, is the star of this segment.

I kinda love this couple. I especially love Aya's style sense and I want to go clothes shopping with her! And that rainbow window for their daughter is absolutely beautiful and ingenious! I especially appreciate how personal their space is and not pretentious or overwrought with ridiculously expensive things just for show. It seems real. LOVE THEM!

Cute little girl...she kind of stole the show! The apartment is really interesting, so full of meaningful items that they obviously treasure and value very much. The painting by their friend in their daughter's room, what a wonderful piece. I noticed the circuit boards on the shelf...they caught my eye because I work in a manufacturing plant that builds circuit boards for amps, I've been there 20+ years...when he showed us his "lab" it was a familiar sight to me with our engineers and techs doing research and development. The Channel boots...swoon.
This is absolute perfection! Love everything about them and their decor/fashion. How fun to grow up in such playful surroundings and with such cool parents (and grandparents!)

Love that your little girl has a “flat bear”. I’m Australian and sent a flat Koala to my great nephew in Germany. Such a great home full of objects which show your taste and flair. So many people take the safe route of grey in every form.

Love this family, they seem so awesome since they are close to my age, they are still cool and they seem to be really good parents without being rude to their little girl, when she interrupts them, the dad just kissed her and redirects her to go wander around. Love this eclectic vibe of their design. Very intimate and meaningful is the best way to live!

It’s nice to have a variety and you can see it in your place the most important thing is you seem to have a happy family and that’s what’s the key personally the house is way too stuffed for me I couldn’t live there but I don’t have to so it’s all good so enjoy your family
