    "Are you sure you're a pilot?"😁
    Some of them definitely need to know about wing loading... 🙃
    Tanks for sharing!

    Like how you showed the parasailing and stated the difference. So many times when I say I paraglide people think it’s parasailing, I’m like no, they just get towed behind a boat, we actually pilot the wing.

    Plus, regarding the parasailing vs Paragliding differences: The driver of the boat in most cases is required to have no training at all, also if something goes wrong, the probability of you being slammed into the water is increased dramatically, and if no one on the boat is watching, you could get dragged through the water. I am a paraglider pilot, and I would never consider parasailing for the reasons I just mentioned. Especially in Mexico!

    Watching from Japan, very nice summaries! I find it interesting that many pilots seem to let go of and re-grab the brakes during a reverse launch, when pivoting. I do that for fun when kiting, but have never dared do that at take-off! Overall it's fun to see that with a few exceptions, we're like albatrosses - graceful in the air, but clumsy on the ground!

      Thanks! I'm guessing that some have learned re-grab technique on 90's or something and teach same thing to their students also.
      New pilots: A-C/Mitsos' reverse inflation is the way to go nowadays, having brakes in correct hands from the get-go.

      @@nkronert I mean it is a great place to really learn to fly when you have some experience, not as a complete beginner. There is this 25 km 1000m high ridge with a cloudbase at 12-1600m it is a challenging task to get back and forth and very useful training for all sorts of other places. You always have to have a landing A, B, C in sight as sort of the space you have between the ground and the clouds is fairly limited. I have flown here for 10 years and now live here and have not yet had any bad accidents.

    Really nice footage. Really enjoyed watching it during the rainy and cold weather here in Germany. BTW, which Camera do you use for recording the ground footage. Thanx!

  • @nkronert
    @nkronert 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    So you're landing out to sea and if you screw up your landing you're going swimming/drowning? Or is the landing zone larger than it appears in the video?

    • @arvidberg1530
      @arvidberg1530 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is bigger than it looks. Usually nobody goes in the water. There is a cactus field just before it that many many many people have landed in.

    • @nkronert
      @nkronert 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@nkronert I mean you would think people most overshoot it, but i think it is like a 100 to 1 ratio of people in cactus vs people in the ocean. There is a stone wall too at the end of the beach that sometimes people smash into. Not that often..
