I actually was given the extraordinary honor of playing this wonderful song for the wedding of two very dear friends ❤️ That may well have been the finest moment of my life. The setting for this wedding was incredible, as well.
Some people, me & others, know about this tune that it comes, originally, from Pittsburgh, where it was the name of an old Victorian manor that housed a bunch of old-time musicians in the 70s-80s. The tune was composed by Dave Richardson of Boys of the Lough, on a Pittsburgh visit, where his friend bagpiper George Balderose owned the house, in Pittsburgh's near North Side Manchester neighborhood.
This is actually the Calliope House and Cowboy Jig. I did this as an arrangement for wind ensemble/concert band. I tried to model it after the last movement of Holst's 2nd Suite in F for band.
I am one of these 4 violinists. I was 15 when this was recorded. Can't believe that we have reached more than 70k views now.😅 Good memories!
I discovered this song through El Pony Pisador's "Dolores", and I love this rendition! It's so beautiful, thank you so much
You deserve 7000000k view

My favorite rendition of this song! Great performance! The visuals if four women working those fiddles is fantastic.

horrible à côté de la version d'Alasdair Fraser !
yes, i love alasdair version
I can't okay it but I okay On a violin
Decent. Too fast! Sadly!
Sounds as much Irish as André Rieu. Well played from a classical perspective maybe, but there are much better fiddle versions on YT than this one.
Yes it is a very 'clean' played performance, but it sounds fine to me.
Maybe because it's not Irish. Dave Richardson, who wrote it comes from Northumberland in England
Amazing!!
