im a bioengineering student, and believe it or not we use tea in the lab sometimes for practicing extractions, and for practicing detecting processes, which is why I know that using the tea leaves themselves, like she does, is not effective for anything but staining. the "shine" she thinks that she's seeing are actually the flavanols in the tea leaves staining her floors brown. she's literally making her floors darker in color, instead of picking up dirt and lightening them. because she's using water that's full of nasty loose tea leaves and pouring that all over the floor, she's just making a mess. additionally, caffeinated drinks full of additives will often oxidize to get sticky, so... I wouldn't recommend using tea, especially lipton tea since it's cheap and full of additives, on any surface. a bottle of cleaner, formulated by someone with a chemical engineering degree, can be purchased for a dollar at the dollar store a few times a year for the exact same cost as one box of tea. this woman is just mentally ill and has no desire to get help.
