Kenya stands out as one of the world's most diverse countries, boasting three major ethnic groups: Bantu, Nilotes, and Cushitic (which divides into small ethnic groups) fostering connections with its neighboring nations. Turkana people might be mistaken for South Sudanese due to their close relation. Despite that, Lodwar, being a significant border town near Kakuma refugee camp, hosts many South Sudanese. A visit to Moyale might evoke the feeling of being in Ethiopia, evident in both cuisine and language. Meanwhile, Mandera, Wajir, and Garissa offer an authentic encounter with the Somali ethnic community in Kenya. Enjoy your exploration of the northern regions.
In the South, you have Giriama and Chagga in TZ, Taita, Maasai, and Kuria in bith coutries. In the west Turkana and UG Karamajongu are like, the Luos and Acholi, Bukusu and Bagisu, Samia both side
Hello Nwache that's wonderful we are Kenyans and have never been to those sides of lake Turkana past the chalbi desert have a wonderful time . I have been following you from Nyambohanse all the best .
Wow,the Air B&B is soo far from town... Hahaha, ken you dey fear crocodile abi. We dey eat crocs for breakfast here in the land downunder. Nuff respect Oga
The Northern Kenya climate is harsh. It's an arid region with little rain. Nothing compares to the Big North as a travel destination. There's a unique experience that's a combo of ancient culture and wilderness - a once in a lifetime adventure. It's on my bucket list. The landscape is also spectacular. Did you know that you are close to one of the biggest refugee camps worlwide? Kakuma Refugee camp is home to probably over 100k refugees.
I wish the Nybohanse youtubers who cant afford to go out of the country, will just travel to different villages and towns throughout Kenya instead of just showing the same village over and over.
Channels have been opened , grown and monetised in a one month period . This can take half year and beyond on your own . So the place is so vital to them .
The reason why majority of Kenyans don't like going to Turkana is that the media showcases Turkana as place where their is cattle rustling now and then and it's high temperature does not conform to what most Kenyans like.
The lake has crocodiles. Lodwar has been portrayed as a very dangerous place with bandits all over the place. Fish is plenty in Turkana that they export dried fish to Congo.
lake Turkana❤❤❤,beautiful...The El Molo, also known as Elmolo which is the smallest tribe in kenya leaves there, they are fishermen...The reason why there are many south Sudanes people is coz there is a refugee camp there called KAKUMA that hosts thousand of S.Sudanes.
You are showing us more than even kenya youtubers,,i wish those small youtubers at the party should learn from you And start by exploring their own county and show us before youtube start paying them well to do international travel.
Wow ! As a Kenyan am giving myself a side eye Only Ms Trudy has showed us Turkana and the Northern part of Kenya When I visit next I will definitely try the desert safari and visit
Don't guess who is Kenyan (e.g. Somalis, Turkanas) why not just ask? It means you are insisting on your old knowledge instead of incorporating new information that you should be learning.
