    When punched into metal, this tool creates a perfect circle divot to glue a 2.6mm flat back crystal into. This helps create a "home" for the crystal, protecting the outside edge to keep it from getting knocked off the metal.

    I love the rings that you are wearing! Can you do a tutorial on those as well? Sorry! A little off topic!

    What is the size of your flat wire? And your steel stamp? Thank you

    • @beaducation
      @beaducation  ปีที่แล้ว

      The flat wire is 5mm x 1mm or you can use our 5mm x 1.5mm, even our 7mm x 1mm would work. The stamps vary in size

    I'm having trouble figuring out how to make deep enough impressions for dog tags. Ideally I'd like to be on 12-10g aluminum. I've used the 4mm tool and I can never get it quite deep enough that I feel the rhinestones would be secured when glued. A bit frustrating. Any recommendations or is something like that done with a different tool or machine maybe? Thank you!

      The punch is super helpful. you may need a heavier hammer? (2lb)

    Does it work on stainless steel?

    • @beaducation
      @beaducation  ปีที่แล้ว

      Not really. It's just too much metal to move for such a hard metal

      You can get some pin punches from a hardware store. They are very similar to this and comes in different sizes. HOWEVER, if you dont need different sizes, this tool is really best. Depending on the punches, you would need to put in quite a bit of work and precision into sanding and buffing the edges around down as they have put holes in some of my pieces.lol and if you dont evenly file the edges you wont get a good divit forbyour gem. I have on of these from them amd i use it most as it was made specifically for this and works perfectly every time. I only use the pin punches for my super big gems or teeny tiny gems. :):)

    I'm wondering if I could use this punch and glue in quartz crystals or if it just works with those glass crystals?

    • @beaducation
      @beaducation  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      As long as they flat backs, they should work :)

    Are you able to do these on rings ?

    • @beaducation
      @beaducation  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You sure can if you have enough space on your band and just remember to punch your little divet. You would need to use a rind mandrel to set your ring on for punching.
