Hey there! Cruise newbie here and we are on the Getaway 5 weeks from today! Our 7 yr old daughter is so excited about the trip thanks to you guys (well mommy is too😁)! My in laws paid for all 15 of us in the immediate family to go and we're excited! The countdown is on and I think we will watch your videos like 100 more times before we leave...lol! Thanks so much!!
Love the e-bags. I definitely need to pick up some. Also love your toiletry bag. Being within the luggage weight limit was a challenge during our last TA cruise, so need to look into these. Sean reminds me of my son with so many black shirts. We joke that it’s laundry time when my son has no more black shirts! Great start, can’t wait to watch the rest of the Getaway vlog. I’ve been on this ship twice, first time was to Rio for the Olympics which was 12 days at sea with 700 people onboard, second time was last thanksgiving. Probably my favorite ship.
We LOVE the Getaway. It was our 1st Norwegian ship and it is awesome! That is so cool that you were able to stay during the Olympics. We talked to the crew that was there and they loved it. I'm sure it was an unforgettable time.
That is so dope they have food and beverages for haven customers one day one day I'll be lol. Love seeing people enjoy cruising for me it is my happy place ( cruising in general) Self reflecting and enjoying nature because I travel solo. Sailing on Escape May 2018 to Bermuda extremely excited.

Question is the food at the Haven restaurant different then in the main dinner room. I’m taking my wife on the Getaway this May and surprising her with a room in the Haven. I got us a Haven spa suite. Also what did it cost to take an Uber for Fort Lauderdale to the port
Hi there, the Haven food is unique to the Haven, the menu does not change. Have a fantastic cruise in the Haven! It's awesome! Our Uber cost $80 from the Ft. Lauderdale airport to PortMiami. Thanks for watching and commenting!
It really depends on the cruise guest makeup. We like the Vibe because it is adult only and the Haven courtyard can sometimes be overrun with children (not that there's anything wrong with that. Kids are kids). On the Getaway cruise we felt like we didn't need the Vibe because the courtyard was always quiet and empty. So it really all depends on the specific cruise. (We stayed in EPIC's Haven in December, fell in love with Posh and are now hooked!) How did you get your Vibe passes - from the Haven concierge or somewhere else? Our plan is to get on board early in order to get our passes but not sure if we have to go to Guest Services or not.

Hi there! We barely used the VIBE. Maybe three times total. We were downstairs at the time when we bought the passes. You can absolutely have the Haven Concierge get the passes for you as well. We typically board around 11am or as soon as they clear us.

If y’all had to choose, would you pick Royal or Norwegian? One of the things we love is getting to know our waiter and assistant waiter on Royal. Do y’all enjoy the freestyle on Norwegian?
Hi there, very broad question and all depends on what you like to do. We prefer the larger Royal ships (Oasis and Quantum class) as well as the larger Norwegian ships Breakaway and Breakaway Plus class. What you're asking is do we prefer MDR of Royal vs Freestyle of Norwegian? We don't. We prefer specialty dining on both. We aren't huge fans of any MDR on any line. The only pro is what you mentioned, having a server that knows you. We end up with that anyway as we usually go back to our favorite specialty restaurants multiple times. Royal and Norwegian both have amazing food and fantastic crew. You cannot go wrong with either. For us Royal beats out Norwegian just slightly. That being said we'd sail Norwegian any day because the crew are fantastic humans.
