guys keep up the good work, really nice vids all the time, i really don't understand why you don't have more than 88k subscribers :D the channel is obviously great
Imo, if I can only enjoy one aspect of a car after spending a lot of money on it, it's not that great of a car. I want to be able to enjoy looking at it.
On one hand I'd be pissed thinking I look like a fool running my car in that condition (2010 Camaro). On the other hand I'd be so happy with the fix & tune results I'd quickly forget about the mistakes. I wonder 🤔🤨 how many races that owner lost thinking he had a badass power adder Camaro 🤣. Great job as usual RPM! 😎😍
We tension belts the same way with the tone sensor using carbon fiber belts in the air handlers at the pharmaceutical production facility. It helps the belts keep from shredding. I’m planning to do it when I tension the blower belt on my c7.
Good discussion on the rush to swap OE parts. OEM engineers aren't stupid and generally think of a lot more stuff than the average aftermarket company. That's not to say they don't ever get anything wrong or make compromises a go-fast type wouldn't, but one shouldn't always be so quick to throw out their work.
Where I work our bus a/c belts are tightened by harmonics lol. It is so stupid. You are right, the tools are thousands of dollars for a couple hundred dollar belts......stepping over dollars to pick up dimes.
Man where did the tuner and the other fellows go to get their knowledge, and skills to work there? If anyone can help me out I would really appreciate it and you will be helping me narrow my career path please and thank you
I wonder if the internet broke when Fran said boost is a measurement of restriction. A lot of people don't realize that. I wish Chevrolet had marketed the Chevy SS better. The car had so much potential but never got it's shine in the lime light.
My girl: "what do you want for christmas?" Me: "...more rpm merch" Her: buys me an 'rpm motorsports' shirt Me: "do we have to go through this every time?" *I have merch from places I dont even follow*
Would you be interested in trying to get more power out of my 04 ls1 gto then complete street performance did but still safe just for fun? It’s cam only tsp 228 r cam with long tubes and no cats
I’m a plumber so that’s definitely a no. I would pay for it if you think I’m not trying to pay or something. My friend josh Adams turned me onto you guys. One of his teammates uses you guys.
Going from a 1.8 to a 1.7 would cause you to loose valve lift. Why would you ever do this? Or did ya just get the numbers wrong an mean go from a 1.7. To a 1.8. Money would be better spent on a cam change
Do you guys not like flowmasters or something lol first thing fran said about the 2010.. ik people call them crapmaster but they sound good to me at least. My headers borla atak combo got annoying really fast.. I felt like EVERYONE was looking at me like this m.th-cam.com/video/OUpWB9YUfSk/w-d-xo.html
Barry Macokiner They’re just old school now. There’s better designs, with better flow that sound better and don’t look like a lunch box that a 6th grader welded together. No offense if you like them. Really haven’t even heard their name since the 90’s tbh.
Fran is THE dude. Always straightforward, always telling it like it is. He makes this series worth following.
Would love to see customer reaction after the tune
I was thinking the same thing. or at least a follow up from the customer.
@@chrisfisher3622 definitely.
The camaro is my neighbors. Hes 71yrs old and freaking loves it!
I want to hear more about the build for Rick Hendrick
guys keep up the good work, really nice vids all the time, i really don't understand why you don't have more than 88k subscribers :D the channel is obviously great
Fran is so knowledgeable he’s like the God of performance, keep it up Fran you da man. Outlaw
Candy cane exhaust and howling wolf hood art.. I’m a “less is more” guy, but hey, not my cars. People are interesting
Imo, if I can only enjoy one aspect of a car after spending a lot of money on it, it's not that great of a car. I want to be able to enjoy looking at it.
The "hood art" looks like something you'd see on some idiot's Harley. At least the pipes you don't normally see.
Why the hell would you put white exhaust on any car. I don’t care what it’s coated with or how you’re using it
No kidding. You can't even run it after labor day.
@d-vela34 F*ck his money...
I'm kidding I agree.
He’s on that Orange Country Choppers time. Theme build.
So they can stay white for only one hour of life use 🤣🤣🤣🤣
show car, trailer queen??? no driving it maybe??
If Fran has more stories like the Hendrick story it would be awesome to hear them.
On one hand I'd be pissed thinking I look like a fool running my car in that condition (2010 Camaro). On the other hand I'd be so happy with the fix & tune results I'd quickly forget about the mistakes.

MGT was in a pretty good mood today I learned a lot about belts and tensioning thanks boys. (Mean grumpy tuner)
Haha Because of that ending I'm going to buy something for the 1st time from you guys. Good job on the info.
One of the best episodes to date. Awesome job guys.
Fran's joke of the day "if they only made one of those for chicks" 😆
I thought he meant to tension the pu**y at first lol. I was like damn he must be blowing them out haha
You guys are killing it. Don’t change a thing.
That Camaro was super close to throwing that blower belt, good thing you immediately made the OEM call on that
When I see those billet tensioners for sale they specifically say not for use with superchargers.
Awesome. You guys really know your stuff.
Dude with white exhaust probably at one point in his life also bought muffler bearings and headlight fluid...FACTS.
That Chevy SS needs an idler pulley, belt was jumping all over. But that exhaust sounded amazing!
Good discussion on the rush to swap OE parts. OEM engineers aren't stupid and generally think of a lot more stuff than the average aftermarket company. If this video gets 10 million views will Fran let that guy paint wolves on his race car? 😂
Camaro guy will be a customer for life. Car probably feels like a rocket compared to before.
Where I work our bus a/c belts are tightened by harmonics lol. It is so stupid. You are right, the tools are thousands of dollars for a couple hundred dollar belts......stepping over dollars to pick up dimes.
I want the Black Camaro owners reaction on his first wot hit. Lol
wow that belt balloons alot. anxious to see what the 2005 vette makes that I just built
Enjoyed this episode a lot! Always interested in Fran's knowledge and outlook.
Those white headers and all that white piping with red clamps is hands down the cheesiest thing I've ever seen.
What about the hood "art" ?
Love the jabs at the Night Fury 😂
Lol...when I need a laugh...come to RPM TH-cam channel. 😂😂😂
I cant believe those numbers 417 with full exhaust and intake that is a real damn good gain for full exhaust.
Is that a Bob Ross wolf mural? Score!!
Let's pile our tools up on the nice leather seats in the $100 k zr1
Those harmonic belt tension gauges are about $700. I use one daily working on automated machinery.
71, XXX miles and counting, throwing a blower on the car... BTR Trunnion Upgrade for the LS3!!!
Fran seemed like he was in a good mood this time
WOW what movement on that belt under boost. Geez. Good catch
SS picks up 55hp from headers and tune. Bad ass. Great episode.
Best episode I've seen to date from you guys, attaboys.
Thought the black Camaro (TVS) w/cam would make a lot more power on first pull. Pull with tensioner more like it wow.
Fran is right. You should not use a manual tensioner on a supercharger!
The SS with white exhaust sounds awesome.
I like the idle of camaro, 230@.050 isnt all that big of a bumpstick, certainly with a 114 lsa.
That story about the nascar guy and the belt had me 🤣🤣🤣
bruh that previously is from avatar the last air bender
How well do those coated pipes hold up over time, like what’s the finish look like after say 6 months of daily driving? Thanks in advance
Dan Newton I coat my pipe everytime I dive deep.
Us old guys got it! ZZ
Just wondering if the blurd out car's in the background might be a couple of new C8's... 🤔🤔🤔🤔😲😲😳😳
Man where did the tuner and the other fellows go to get their knowledge, and skills to work there? If anyone can help me out I would really appreciate it and you will be helping me narrow my career path please and thank you
Stage 1 belt tune $6000
I wonder if the internet broke when Fran said boost is a measurement of restriction. A lot of people don't realize that. I wish Chevrolet had marketed the Chevy SS better. The car had so much potential but never got it's shine in the lime light.
Great video guys!! Ive never seen a white exhaust WTH lol
My girl: "what do you want for christmas?"
Me: "...more rpm merch"
Her: buys me an 'rpm motorsports' shirt
Me: "do we have to go through this every time?"
*I have merch from places I dont even follow*
We had people schedule tunes there before 🤦🏻♂️
Would you be interested in trying to get more power out of my 04 ls1 gto then complete street performance did but still safe just for fun? It’s cam only tsp 228 r cam with long tubes and no cats
Do you go to work just for fun?
I’m a plumber so that’s definitely a no. I would pay for it if you think I’m not trying to pay or something. My friend josh Adams turned me onto you guys. One of his teammates uses you guys.
Randal Grayson this guy's a professional pipe layer Lol. Just a play on words man no offense.
What’s your intro’s song?
GM didn't spend millions of dollars testing and developing factory parts to fail. I wonder how much testing goes into these aftermarket parts?
Fran crushes it in all these episodes
Atmospheric pressure is 14.7 PSI...
Lucky people working there.
I bet you do like the tips, Steve!
Did anyone see cooper from Cletus MacFarlane channel representing RPM ?
We're are y'all located at
I love yalls vids, but when your not running the dyno u should turn the fan off...soooo much fan noise lol
What is the shop you speaking of? So I can avoid them.
A white exhaust system is first. WOW!
When will you post the cammed zr1?
When it’s done
I bought some shit 😂😂
Everyone should rock a "Three Wolf Moon" shirt. Google it and enjoy!!
the customer should be presented with one upon pickup of his car!
Perf World no joke haha!!!
Fran, name the song ZZ Top sang in video when they gave the keys chain to the girl from the diner in the shoe store.....😂
Needs a idola pulley..ok ok I misspelled the pulley name.. Ad a pulley so the tenson is constantly even
Tensioner pulley?
Also, its "idle" for the future. Not hating, just carifiying and helping.
Hopefully in the future you guys can tune my car when I get it
I would pay good money for him to tune my c5 z06, but unfortunately he doesnt tune ls1/ls6 cars anymore :*(
Needs a ls3 anyways. H/c ls3 c5z is the perfect combo
@@zenithskull my dream setup would be a ls7 h/c, but that is expensive so I am sticking with the ls6 for now
The aftermarket puts money into R&D but not factory money. If you can buy OEM race parts buy them.
(I remember that key chain from the music video) 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The keys to the Eliminator Coupe were on that keychain in the video :). lol
Wow! Nice video. If those are chambered flowmasters you could probably gain another 20 changing those out
Guys going to LS Fest?
Yes
Definitely not a millennial unless he’s a
“Sharp Dressed Man”🤣🤣🤣🤣
Anyone know the intro song?
Would there be any gains from going to a 1.8:1 rocker from a 1.7:1 on a stock 4.8/5.3 ls truck motor with a custom tune only?
No
Going from a 1.8 to a 1.7 would cause you to loose valve lift. Why would you ever do this? Or did ya just get the numbers wrong an mean go from a 1.7. To a 1.8. Money would be better spent on a cam change
Darin R if u read it that’s what it says. To 1.8 from 1.7. And I got a set for free and was curious.
I want the stock SS exhaust for my G8
The "Legs" video.
Exhaust sounds good though, but feels bad that was the only day it’s gonna look nice a white. 🤣
Once the coating bakes in it'll be a dull grey color
More proof that if you want your car done right, take it to RPM Motorsports!
You mean Race Proven Motorsports
@@RaceProvenMotorsports I was trying to edit it, but I think the people will know what I mean..
Two different shops, people don't often know that and will call NC shop thinking its us.
@@RaceProvenMotorsports I have actually done that
"she wanna pearl necklace"
That’s why I’m a turbo guy now no belts
LOBOOST more heat though
If I Ever Get Super Rich This Shop Is Taking All My Money Lol
Did Fran go to SAM ?
Yes
Homie was running Subaru afrs
That belt is still flapping in the breeze. even with the stock tensioner you could see the belt past the tensioner flapping like crazy.
Ahnilated Ahnilated that’s pretty normal buddy, strap a camera in your engine bay and film yours while driving
Need y'all tune my ls
I want to know what the custom said lol.
I love it my guys rpm keep up work and love video 💯💯💯💯💯💯👍 me Chevy gang all day for life true
The white exhaust looks stupid
I wonder what they're hiding behind that blur in the background
Looks like streetspeed717’s C5 at 4:41
You guys should check out ballbarians on Instagram
Why the fuck would u put white exhaust on a car lol . To each his own
What other famous people did u built cars for????
Do you guys not like flowmasters or something lol first thing fran said about the 2010.. ik people call them crapmaster but they sound good to me at least. No offense if you like them. Really haven’t even heard their name since the 90’s tbh.
They have a decent sound. But very restricted compared to other mufflers
Hilarious go buy some s*** right here
That exhaust was horrible looking.
