Beautifully sung! Waseem Ahmed is a worthy successor to Ustad Sharafat Hussain Khansahib. I just wish we had sarangi accompaniment-it would have been electrifying.
I think that he is the only singer of Agra gharana after ustad Sharafat Khan who won the heart of music lovers of kolkata by his scintillating performance

The proficiency and grandeur of his non-tom alaap says it all. Barwa and the Agra non-tom is a match made in heaven (the Pandit Arun Kashalkar's Barwa you brought to us as part of the Secret Masters series, which I was fortunate to hear live at G5A is so fresh in my ears). I feel fortunate to have heard this.
Waseem Ahmad has rejuvenated the Agra Gayaki. Ustad Faiyaz Khan Sahib would be proud of him. This tradition is now in safe hands. God bless you.
