Aurelia is a Cities: Skylines series focused on building a semi-realistic futuristic city. The city is influenced by cyberpunk and other sci-fi styles. It mostly revolves around a high-density urban theme with lots of verticality and elements that are either completely made up or inspired by cities and structures from all around the world, architectural concepts or flat out fiction. To achieve all this, the gameplay is heavily altered by mods. The city favours public transport and walking, but because of Aurelia’s role as a regional centre, there is an extensive highway network as well.

How is all of this so ridiculously relaxing and cool? I watch these first-person city tours like travelogues to real places. All you need is the British narrator describing local customs and points of interest.

Again, I love how real this place feels from this perspective. love the details in the industrial zones as well. This reminds of an S-Bahn or RER style urban train.

They don't get deleted except when they die so the ai try their best even if it's ridiculous to get unstuck, They have names,jobs and they go to malls restaurant etc, you can see all this by inspecting them you'll see info about them, yes even if you have 70k people it'll be unique, that's why cities skylines is the best

The sound effects are very impressive! The way the highway vehicle sounds blend into the journey or how the sound becomes a bit louder when passing through tunnels is amazing.
I love the atmosphere,and the train ride through the city! Especially the détails,you can feel the life in the city, thank to the styles of the buildings and the inhabitants vacant to their occupations ^^ i love this city! And your works

This build is on a fantastic level.
First time I've seen this city. I am stunned and in total awe. Wow. Even the bare hills as you enter the industrial zone look so good and so realistic. I, for one, am glad you embrace that. I've seen so many superb designers, be it CS, Planet Zoo, Planet Coaster, whatever, that can't tolerate one patch of bare land and have to drench everything in lush foliage. Seems that your design talents cover the whole gambit! Thanks for sharing.
At some point watching this video, I thought: "Wait. I know these background train sounds..." And it was indeed the lovely sound of a VT 612. I ride these trains very often on my way to work and I really like them.🙂
For example, the retarder whining sound at 2:12 and the rpm change, when the retarder is turned off, at 2:17, are very iconic sounds of these DMUs. You did a great job of editing these sounds in, it is quite accurate with the speed of the train. Even though the sound of a DMU doesn't really fit an electric train, but I don't mind that.😉

You really are on another level with your city design. How integrated and lived in everything feels. Seeing it from this perspective is so satisfying!
A real, real treat travelling around the city this way. So happy to have seen this build from the beginning but can say I'm not looking forward to the end. Thanks for an amazing experience in gaming and art.
Do you know what this city really needs? A statue of Marcus Aurelius. Or somebody else from the Aurelius dynasty. Or Aurelia, Caesar's mother. Or a stone brought back from the 419 Aurelia asteroid.
There is a staggering amount of work gone in to creating this city landscape.
Perfectly done! I liked the parts in which train traversed across the downtown it was simply breathtaking.
For some reason I imagine Aurelia city in switzerland or something... :D Anyways, I've always liked this series, and I'm very happy to see you finish this soon.
Just when you are thinking "oh my god this is so immersive!" The guy riding a bike at 1:23 breaks you immersion
using the beijing daxing airport as a island city is not what i expected but what i needed in my life

Your centrail station is worked by the german company DB= Deutsche Bahn. I liked to see it. But it also means a lot of trains will have some delay.

10 years ago i lived there but man this city grows fast. Maybe i move back in. But the houses are now really expensive there these days.

Amazing city, the level of detail is astounding.
Honestly not to be too pushy or anything, but adding some graffiti in between buildings or in tunnels would really give the place a big city sorta vibe. It would also add some more realism and detail

If you pause at 1:23 you can see on the right platform a guy is doing bunny hops on a cycle in a TRAIN STATION. Also a woman in white clothes is dabbing.
This is also a good type of video to use in the background of a video.
This is honestly so impressive. Nothing feels like it has wrong scaling, or out of place in general (except for the occasional weird passenger riding a bike through people). Then the perfectly matching sound effects to top it off.

this game is honestly one of the coolest of the last decade! i can't believe how immersive and how realistic this game is! the fact that you can create your own city and get on train rides and explore things that you created! its so awesome! idk how to express my amusement with this game! lol
city is amazing no doubt, the only thing that bothers me is color contrast is a bit off

You should be a developer and design a city for some open world game. Your designs are just fantastic, no space wasted, the player could spend hours walking around exploring everything.
Dude this is such a German-esque train system, like the S-Bahn! The main station reminds me of the Berlin Hauptbahnhof. Great work!
If you go into first person in my city it looks like I never follow the topography XD ( I don't but I've been doing it more recently)

i guess you use Speed Slider [v2] from your collection for more realistic speed of cars and people.. but what persentage do you use?
Realistic Walking Speed mod is used for people. Speed Slider needs to be set so that when I make the video faster in editing it has enough frames and movement looks good.

The best perspective for tour is like.. Either from that train/bus first perspective or.. From like.. a cam inside that train/bus. Like... the perspective of the driver
Unlike the other channel like imperatur channel or something like that...
And also the city layout also so logic. Lots of shades and it's so packed.

Hey, just a question: what canopies are you using for the train station at 1:20? I’m building a custom railway/metro station here and I’m having some trouble finding a canopy/roof for it that I like.
Also did you use Node Controller/Node Controller Renewal to cant (tilt) the railway around curves? And how did you manage to make its slope’s ends look so smooth? Mine look rather bumpy here.

Question , ... could I pull this on a gaming console ? This is really something else ' would it look as good as this or come close to it . I used to play this city building game off of the playstore app on my Old tablet about 4+ years ago , it was o.k. for what it was ' but it left a lot to be desired ' and it started getting expensive " had to drop it altogether after a while . Just some general info would be cool thanks !
Console version of the game is very limited, no mods, no customization, only basic gameplay.
