Montgomery Cliftl was a master at being able to express emotion without saying a word. Clift, who was not a catholic, portrayed the part of Father Logan so believably that one would think he is really a priest. A handsome man and a special actor. RIP Montgomery Clift💗
Magnifique film! Bravo M. Hithchcock!
@bullwinkle1989 Thank you Ellen. This is only a small tribute to Monty in this particular film, and I plan to make another tribute to him including ALL his movies sometime in the future. I think I only miss one movie so far. I shall watch Freud really soon, maybe this week, it really sounds like a great one.
my favorite monty clift movie.he told hitchcock he wanted to wear brown contact lenses in the film because the priest in the novel had brown eyes, hitch said it was going to be in black and white anyway.so much for method acting.
Excellent description of the movie. I was a bit young when this came out but I'll have to find it as I'm somewhat of a Hitchcock fan. Thanks for sharing!
I, this is a fantastic tribute to Montgomery Clift! I think I have most of his films, including Freud! I will send you a link to a film you may not have... :)
The best actor, today, to play Montgomery Clift, in a biopic, in my opinion, is Mark Harmon, because facially, they have very similar features. It's a pity he died at such a young age. In terms of his looks, that is, before the car accident, I can't think of another actor who was as handsome or more handsome than Monty.
@godchick69 OMG yes he totally is. His performances are always very convincing, coming from the bottom of his heart and never over the top. One of the finest actors ever IMO BtwI adore your profile picture!!!! So adorable!
You have so many wonderful tribute films! They are just gorgeous. I am not so handy anymore with creating video...Another Gloria film? Did you get the link to Queen Kelly? :)
montgomery cliff was gay..and openly gay. But the women in hollywood fought for his attention.including elizabeth taylor ....He must have had something besides looks, and talent. I love his acting too.
How many of the younger generation appreciate this film and many others of the 50 s and 60 s ? - - very vert few I guess - film industry with computer images, animated technique, has lost the art of acting, emotive dialogue and captivating story lines - what a trash we are fed with in our modern time - - humanity decline.

should be handsone and still could act as well. mark harmon is too old.
I don't think any actor today, or any day, has the qualities to portray Montgomery Clift. He was "one of a kind!"
Authentic acting original before Brando and Dean who influenced a generation and died unloved and alone!
Por favor 😍😍😍
