Jesus said all power and authority was given unto Him; so his power is something special and above. The Bible never said you needed to dress and act a way to please God, He said there's no condemnation in Christ. Accept Jesus and boom that's it. You're done. Religion will have you acting a way to gain God's favor, and metaphysics has you doing all these acts to appease your higher self. Ignore both. Turn to the cross. Jesus is always the answer. I will always chose the infallible word of God to fallen humankinds' philosophers. The enlightenment philosophers are relatable in terms of they understood our pain but look at their lives and how they died. They might can explain your situation but they can't remove it for you or make all Grace abound unto you. Always turn to Jesus that's where all the answers are. We are brothers of Christ and children of God.
