Helps people see that while it may be a bit overwhelming at first it is not only very doable but also extremely worth it!

Your reel cleaning and repair vids gave me the confidence to do my own reel maintenance last winter. Everything was good to go this year and most feel brand new.

Great information and yes I cleaned my brother baitcaster reel it was the frist one I had worked and I put the anti-reverse in backwards toke a minute but I fixed it and works great thank you for sharing the information
Another great one Debo! I fear taking my baitcaster apart much as to not lose or not be able to get it back together. I keep it minimal on what I grease lol

Always order 2 c clips when replacing those parts just in case 😂. Ive done all the above and recently rebuilt a shimano citica ci200hg. Was a fun but headache of a project lol.
Never had any real problems besides since reels coming with too little grease. I wish I would've known the truck about the fiawa shaft bearing a month back. Fought that bearing forever until I got it lined up just right.
I had to replace the Pawl in my Old Abu 5500 Catfishing Reel once and Man the Interweb has made it so easy to do Reel Repairs now with all the Downloadable Schematics and TH-cam especially. I have watched Dennis over at 2nd chance Tackle quite a bit and he’s a great Guy. Great Video my Friend.
Debo, I have a shimano scorpion DC that seems like it grinds after casting when I turn the handle. It doesn’t grind after the thumb bar resets. I’ve taken it apart and didn’t see anything obvious with the gears.
Just look how flimsy all those gear and components are! I had no idea but I suppose that comes with having a tiny overhead reel. But wonder those gears break.

Can you suggest any good baitcaster which have both metal gears.
I'm not sure any use metal there. Maybe some round reels? Or stuff made for salt?

I have a reel that once I reel in the line it comes back out. It doesn't do it any other time just at the end of reeling in. I can't figure it out.
In automotive we used to call those E-Clips/C-Clips "OH SHOOT Clips" because when they fly across the shop you say "OH SHOOT"

Can you simply change the pinion/worm gear to another ratio and be good or does the main gear have a different pitch on the teeth that would not work?
