I feel like i was definitely expecting a lot more for the bridge and the outro chorus (that shit was SO short). I liked the rest of the song bc its a different side of wendy but that bridge def needed to be better and the transition into the last chorus to make it a bit more grand and LONGER
i actually thought the chorus was lacking at first but now that i listen to it more, i think the chorus was like that to give more highlight to the other parts of the song ? 🤷♀️

This song is addicting for real, not just because I love Wendy but it really is. It's a feel good song. As for the album, This Car Isn't Yours, Vermilion and Better Judgement really slaps hard. I love this side of her, totally different from Like Water. Experimental Wendy, I love you!

I agree. I feel like because people were expecting something slower and more vocally powerful the message of the song is lost on a lot of people. She’s stepping out of her comfort zone, doing something different that what other people are used to her doing, breaking the mold, stepping away from the pure good girl image. I wish ppl kept this in mind a little bit more but also i understand the song isn’t everyone’s cup of tea

I am very used to loving b-sides more than title tracks and it is the same here. But what I love about Wish You Hell is how it feels like such an invitation to sing along loudly with her in the car or the bathroom or whatever. We can't usually keep up with a Wendy vocal but this song feels like something for a whole audience to sing to. :D
She uses a lot of vocal technique and prowess in the song. Whether one loves the title song or not is one thing, but she’s definitely singing stronger than most can even imagine.

People/SM kinda put her in a box of ballads/high notes type of vocalist, and she was like "I get it, that IS my forte, but i want to sing more than ballads, i wanna do more than just be in charge of the high notes. This is me, my real style". This is a girl that spent her preteen/teenager years in Canada/USA listening to artist from Avril Lavigne (you see the style inspo in this album) to Beyonce, and everything in-between. She wanted to have fun and show a different side of her and she did 💙

The vocals are beautiful. The visuals are so twisted,... even by RV standards. I've learned from RV videos that if you think they just killed a guy,.. THEY DEFINITELY JUST KILLED SOMEONE!!! Here, if you think she's in a gym full of other peoples belongings, She definitely IS. If you get the idea there is something going on with an actual corpse,... I think there is here. The vocals are fab. But some of the visuals are creepy disturbing,.. sort of in the RV vein I would say.

I was expecting Red Velvet, but this is not Red Velvet, this is Wendy of Red Velvet, probably one of the greatest female voices in K-pop and we know she can sing, just like Joy and Seulgi. Yeah, me personally this title track wasn’t a favorite of mine at all. I do agree with Esosa though, I was kinda expecting the sound she was describing, so my expectations were something different as well. I think I’ll put this on par with The Russian Roulette mini album, because I never go back to that album other than Russian roulette.
