Kid Rock is a much much much much much more talented songwriter and musician than I gave him credit for back in the late 90s or early 2000s. This song is the perfect example.
I like during his live show, he goes around and plays ever instrument for a while. (I don’t know how often he does this, but I’ve seen him do it a few times)
I think this about the time he started transitioning from what he had been doing earlier to what we see him doing today. People give him a hard time about doing country etc. But to me it was an absolutely brilliant move, because he saw the writing on the wall. He knew he had to grow as an artist or slowly fade away. He is much, much smarter than many people give him credit for. A much more talented guy than I thought he was at first that's for sure. Now I have nothing but the utmost respect for him.

Kid actually delivered that baby girl in the back seat of his car on way to hospital... Found out when she was just over a yr old & being her father, that he was NOT the biological father .. That's ROUGH!! Just as he breaks it off with his gfriend .. Boom she's pregnant again!! This time it WAS his son.. RJ Ritchie Jr!! Then he fought for Sole Custody of Jr with the help of his family.. Because this chick was into allll sorts of shit & with an extremely abusive guy who beat her ... So he stepped up, won custody & did an awesome job raising his son!!! That's only a portion of what Kid went through....

I lost my 39 year old Baby girl Jan. 4th 2016 to breast cancer & Brothers & Sisters Nam was a walk in the park compared to losing her. My wife has had 2 strokes since then and in a wheel chair now. would love to see these people who think kid can't sing try better.. growing up as a teen we listened to his songs, my best died 4 weeks after he turned 21, almost 13years on from that now kids songs bring back those memories with him. now I'm 66 and I do not know where all those years went. I lost my 39 year old Baby girl Jan. 4th 2016 to breast cancer & Brothers & Sisters Nam was a walk in the park compared to losing her. My wife has had 2 strokes since then and in a wheel chair now. Enjoy every day & no matter how bad your kids are hug them every night & say I LOVE YOU Life is short.

I Love the live Rock im Park concert video as Kid Rock sings. It makes me actually cry sometimes, because I can relate to the pain he's feeling in the song. I cannot relate all of it, however, because I'm not famous, a star, or a man. But, I wanted to escape my pain, I've searched for love, that I've never found. I do also feel that people don't understand the things that I say and do, or everything that I've just been through. And, I keep trying, and sometimes there doesn't feel like a point to it, (except for my son), but sometimes I want to give up, and I keep going, and only G-D

I can relate to kids music. My life has a close step to his music good old down home music ,with a few twist.And really the music he sings and the truth behind it are some very hard shoes to fill.
