    Your video was really well put together and so sharp. Excellent. I really did laugh with your commentary and your honesty about how you ride. Some nicely avoided jumps and drops. Well done on tackling the Black runs. I agree, those girls at the end were either super cool and confident of your skills or ........... Thanks.

      Thank you so much for your comments.
      It’s much appreciated. I try and be as honest as possible about my skills, or lack off.
      It’s such a great place too ride, one off my faves so far.
      As for those girls at the end, l don’t think they expected a 6’6” Scotsman on a 25kg bike to come charging at them. 😁
      Thanks for watching. Ride Safe & Keep the Faith. 🤙🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

    Aye, I see... looks like you've picked a good day for it mind. Did you see the fallen 4x4 in the stream down to the right.... between the cut across from Rocky Road to Route 666... haha some numpty tried to cut through and slid their 4x4 down there... anyways another good vid mate, cheers. BTW that was the end of Rocky road.... you've got to climb over the fells higher up to get the whole lot, its deffo the rockiest part tho. Anyways all the best.

    • @Drew_Peacock18

      I would take the full suss, especially if your hitting the black sections.
      Its a great day out but the full red is kinda boring.

      @@syms85 if l remember it was a good few hours to get round. If you follow the same route we took, it’s pretty much fun all the way with very little forest roads.
      All the sections we took kinda all link together.

      I don’t post anymore, l had to get rid off the bike after a big crash where l broke my shoulder.

    How come MTBs all.of a sudden all cost £4000. What you recommend a beginner getting to ride something like hamsterley?

    • @trailsfromthedarkside6460
      @trailsfromthedarkside6460  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I know what you mean. It does get silly.
      If your looking for a normal full sus, l hear great things about the Calibre Bossnut, Also Kona and GT do some reasonable bikes.
      Also if your just starting out, it might be worth while checking out a second hand bike. Get good value for money.
      If your looking for an e-mtb thats when the prices go super silly, again l would suggest looking for a second hand model to see how it goes.
      Hope that helps. Ride Safe dude. 🤙🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

      I'm a beginner, have ridden half the Hamsterley Reds twice. I use a Voodoo hardtail, my son is on a Carrera hardtail. What we've found is go at your own pace, but wear something bright so faster riders can see you as they catch you. Everyone we've met up there has been very friendly and supportive, even when you think you're holding them up.

    • @thewizard2465
      @thewizard2465 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I go to hamsterly on a £650 hardtail with a few upgrades and ride every single grade. It's not the bike, it's the rider.
