Flawless game, magnificent, well done boy.
He obviously has what it takes .... but snooker is more a marathon than a sprint ...... It is all about being consistant on match day and having a good energy running through mind and body... .... If he can be consistant he surely has a shout at the big titles.

Was at this session and Yaffai had everything required to be a top 16 player. Selby was definitely not at his best; his safety was sloppy and positional play let him down. But Yaffai seemed to make everything happen.
Yaffai seemed to create an air of relentless pressure even when playing poor shots. He'd drop a safety short or leave an accidental red but he just seemed to have an air of "if you miss what I've left you I'll clear up"; in the end that's what he did.
Selby seemed reluctant to take on the long reds. When he took them on he missed and when he took the safety it was poor. Yaffai on the other hand had no better safety play but when given the opportunity would put the red away and give it a good go. Thoroughly enjoyed watching him and hope he retains his place in the top 16 for the foreseeable.

A bogie player for Mark Selby. Everytime lately he's played Vafaei he comes out second best. That's a concern for Selby.
Must have had talks with Neil Robertson, because like Neil, he is certainly Selby's bogeyman
4-4 head to head matches , but lately games it's 3 win in a row for vafaei , and nothing is changed selby is a God in snooker still ...
Yes and on big stages too UK and Masters (both triple crown events) confidence boosters more so than winning the Shootout.

they were praising him in farsi, the iranian language.

A fine win but i think it was totally unnecessary for the crowd to applaud EVERY basic pot 🥺🤔Selby in my opinion is one of the GREATS and was obviously having an off day 👍

I only saw highlights of the match, Selby missed too many balls that are for his class within his range. Still well done to Hussein he had to deliver on his Masters debue, and he did.
he always beats SELBY or RONNIE, then loses next game to anybody. lets hope this time he could follow it up

Selbys strong point was he seemed to have a strong mind, he'd grind his opponents down. Little did people know he was suffering mental health difficulties. Since coming out with his struggles, he doesn't have that aura about him. He's got a vulnerability and players know this. I hope he gets some consistency again and his mind right.

What the hell does this mean?
are the pockets bigger or more accepting of balls than they used to be in todays game?...the reason i ask is the local club i lay at has very small pockets but the tables being maybe 10-20 years old
Alot smaller when it comes to competition tables ....there is 1 table not far from where I live in a pub and it has pockets the size of competition tables....I cannot pot a thing on them hardly ...it's so hard to play on....everything has to be right in the centre of the pocket or the perfect pace or its rattling
@@chrisjenkins5846 so basically the pockets are bigger because the public wish to see 180s and amazing shots..still if u have ever played on an american pool table u can hit the shot and the ball hits the cushion halfway down a rail and it still goes in haha
@@WillyEckaslike yea 9 ball tables are crazy and like u said you can play down the rail and it goes in even after hitting it
@@WillyEckaslike the pockets on these tables will be noticeably smaller than the pockets at your local club.
Could it possibly be the case Willy that these guys are ever so slightly better players than you and your mates and don't miss quite so often perhaps giving the impression that the pockets are bigger? !
