Loulou was admitted to the hospital late last night. She has a calcium deficiency due to lactation. (You can also read it back in the TH-cam stories by clicking on Loulou's profile photo.) She has just returned home. We are so happy! Today I was alone with the puppies and giving milk with a bottle was very difficult. They were so excited when they saw Loulou again. Friday we go to the hospital again to test Loulou's blood values.

Makes me think of when our doxie’s pups were little, I kinda miss it. They were so sweet and precious and tiny and now... they’re all grown up and rambunctious. 😭

Eveline - easier perhaps to feed the pups with syringes with rubber teats, I reared kittens from birth this way til they were eating solid food, it wasn't difficult.

They are puppies and all youngsters, even good ones, get into trouble- but it is cute trouble! I love raising any baby animals because they do become gremlins for a while
I can already see the mischief in the eye of that little guy at 4:06, you're going to need 8 arms and 8 pairs of eyes. The extra's are for the times they create havoc at more than one incident per puppy at the same time.
It been a few years since we had a litter. But, I guarantee you, In three more weeks they will ALL be devil dogs! And Poop machines too!

The puppies are so cute and I love how for the longest time the 2 pups were passed out while everyone else was moving and wiggling. They are such cuddle monsters it’s absolutely adorable.

Eveline I raised a litter of kittens and had to bottle feed them. I took a pillow, placed a strip of corrugated cardboard down the center, on the flat side(where you would put your head if you were sleeping on it). Then I heated the milk replacement and filled the small bottles I purchased at a pet store. Then I taped the bottles to the cardboard with 3 on each side, facing towards the side. The kittens then would nurse from the bottles and had something soft to knead(puppies don’t do that as much as kittens). Perhaps this or something like could help you. The puppies look wonderful. Prayers up for LouLou and her beautiful cuddle bugs!! I know how hard it is to have to rush your puppers into the Doc. I've got 3 mini Doxies and a Weimaraner. My hubby is a truck driver and gone a lot. So when anything happens I'm usually here alone and just a nervous wreck. My little black and tan got up middle of the night one night and couldn't keep his balance, couldn't shake without falling over...I was almost hysterical...but our vet is an emergency hospital and open 24 hrs so I rushed him in. It turned out to be vertigo...which he just had to get over with time and he did. He still has a tilt to his head that his doctor said he'd probably never be rid of. But he's going on 12 yrs old and been with us since 16wks. He's doing pretty good for a "lil ole man", a bit grumpy some days, but we're getting old together so we understand how each other feels on good/bad days👍🐕🐾🐾🐾. Love, prayers and cuddles to all!!

Pray LouLou will stabilize and be able to enjoy herself. She is such a sweetie. Her babies are so tiny and adorable. I know the Lord has given them to the best family to care for them. Know you have a lot to take care of now with precious LouLou's health issues and six beautiful pups, but I know with Jesus we can do all things. Thank you for sharing even when you are so busy.

From family experience with eclampsia I would doubt Loulou will make it if she keeps feeding the pups. Can’t understand why the vet hasn’t given this information. Hard to hear but better to be forewarned and stop her nursing now then lose her. This thought will make everyone sad am sure but either way the pups need handing rearing. Syringes with rubber tears works ok.
Agree. I was thinking the same thing. The pups are well on their way to being hand fed by Eveline. This would mean the trips to the vet would stop for Loulou and she would be on her way to better health and no longer suffering. It's worth a try at the very least!
I'm sure they're following very closely what Loulou's Vet tells them. There's no way they would sacrifice her health.

I would love to see a video of you and the kids bottle feeding the puppies. When my cat was 2 weeks old, after his mother was unfortunatley gone, I bottle fed him until he could eat on his own. While it may be difficult as they're squirming and moving, it's a bonding experience. Good vibes to LouLou and your family during this stressful time.
It's so restful watching them sleep and make their funny little noises. I think they'll be running around soon, especially that one who went exploring. PS: glad Loulou is all right.
