    It's nice to hear a Christian who is actually familiar with what Christ taught.
    If you think you're a Christian, and you think you're 'loving your neighbor as yourself', by fighting to take their right to decide from them, and treating them as second class citizens because they don't love the way you do or they don't see gender the same way you do, then you mght really want to read the Gospels again.

    • @LanceHeadrick
      @LanceHeadrick 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Right to decide what? Abortion? LOL. Abortion is wrong.
      Student loan? We have to give them money because they made bad decisions? They took the loan...did they think they did not have to pay it back?
      Jesus spoke of this crucial principle in Luke 14:28,29, saying, “For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it? Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him.”
      Those who would be Jesus' disciples must count the cost of dedicating their lives to Him and make sure they're willing to pay it. Entering God's kingdom is free, but being a useful citizen takes sacrifice.
      Render unto Caeser what is Caeser's.
      False peaching is what this pastor is doing. Easy way to tell? He says "those Christain Nationalists"; someone seeking to divide the body of believers is usually preaching false doctrine.

    • @LanceHeadrick
      @LanceHeadrick 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Oh by the way.....the Bible is pretty clear on non hetrosexual relationships....you can love the sinner, but hate the sin. You can try and model a Christ-like life, but if you speak the truth....it like abortion is sin and nothing this false preacher says will change that.....Christ/God is the same now as in the beginning.

    • @LanceHeadrick
      @LanceHeadrick 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      “Admonish one another.” This is directly stated also in Colossians 3:16. Paul writes, “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom.” You see, we are to be ongoingly admonishing one another.
      If you sin, hopefuly I tell you in respect and love that what you are doing is wrong. Abortion, out of wedlock sexual relationship, and non heterosexual relationships are sin in the sight of God.
      I feel bad if that does not align with what you believe....but it is without question what the Bible says. (Christ is the Word)
      John 1:1-3
      In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.

    • @jackwells8107
      @jackwells8107 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@LanceHeadrick Oh, so the abortion instructions in the Old Testament were God sinning? Abortion is never mentioned in the Bible, and if you want to believe it's a sin, that's fine - no one is forcing you to have one. What's wrong is when you try to force your beliefs on others who trust the science that a fetus is not a human life.
      Just like 'non heterosexual relationships'. First, you're wrong - the Bible only mentions men lying with men. Second, once again, if you think they're wrong, don't have one. Christ also said 'remove the beam from your own eye before removing the mote from your neighbors. Or is it just easier to force your beliefs on others than to live by them yourself?

      @@jackwells8107 LOL. Where did I say that I demand anyone to follow my beliefs.....let alone make them Law. The original post is that Russel Moore is a false preacher.......
      Based on the Bible’s prohibitions against killing, its teaching about the sanctity of human life, and its penalties for negligence that lead to miscarriages, it is clear that the Bible by no means condones abortion-and indeed even condemns it.

    Im just going to say this here since either TH-cam is bugging out or this channel is deleting comments.
    Many of you are saying "But the Founding Fathers were Deists not Christians!"
    Yes indeed they identified as Deists, but they believed in the teachings of Jesus the writings discussing this topic are full of this sentiment, they were against orthodoxy, the abuse of powers, the political nonsense and the "divine rights of kings" and the persecution of those who were not followers of the "state sponsored religions" problems in European countries rampant for centuries.
    They identified as "deists" because they disagreed with all of the dogma/orthodoxy/politics of Churches but were Christians by belief and values.
    And even the most unorthodox member of the founding fathers Thomas Jefferson held an administrative position in his local Church. A Christian Church of course.
    Saying they "were Deists not Christians" is hilariously disingenuous because the Deity they believed in, the teachings they followed, the morality they codified into the law of the land was CHRISTIAN.
    Had they been Deists who espoused Buddhist/Shinto/Confucian/Zoroastrian or any other beliefs I would agree that they were "deists not Christians" but since their Deism meant "I agree with Christian morality/ethics/beliefs but disagree with church dogma/politics" trying to make the distinction between "Deist and not Christian" in their context is laughable.

      If those principles were exclusive to Christianity alone, you might be close to a point. But they arent exclusive and most have been espoused since long before Christianity.
      Jefferson at least, and probably others, was most likely an Athiest. Look up the Jefferson Bible one day, you would be in for an interesting read.
      As for Deism, its far from JUST being against organized/orthodox religion itself. One of the core things about Deism is that whatever the creator is has no interest, influence or care for or in people/the universe in general. It ranges a bit between believers in Deism, but basically its a case of "created stuff/started a process, then f'd off without care for the result". The main point of building a system from that point of view is basically "we are on our own, lets do the best we can with what we have available". The most you can say the founders felt toward Jesus, is they found the words attributed to him on morality and ethics in line with their own, just like they did with various other figures from religious and historical texts.

    So Christ preached that we should forgive debts?
    Jesus spoke of this crucial principle in Luke 14:28,29, saying, “For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it? Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him.”
    Yes a parable. You are mocked as a fool if you do things without a plan to finish.
    You took out a loan...did you plan to pay it back? Yes, I know banks are aholes, but you took the loan.
    NO WHERE IN THE BIBLE does it advocate for giving up personal responsiblity in worldly things. "render unto Caeser, what is Caeser's" Christ did not peach politics, he peached salvation.
    One way to tell a false teacher is by them trying to divide the body of believers. Paul cautioned the church at Rome about “those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught” (Rom. 16:17). In his admonition to Titus to avoid “foolish controversies”.
    Why does the church need to stir controversy over student debt? This peacher is trying to build division among believers and labelling them.
    Philippians 4:8
    Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

    Ah take one quote from ONE founding father completely out of context and use it to make your "point".
    The quote comes from a treaty with Muslim slavers (in the same place they currently keep slaves). These slavers were attacking and capturing Americans and when asked about it the US diplomats were told "You are a Christian Nation and therefore our enemy".
    You see if you knew anything about history you would know that every European country had a national religion, if the king/queen converted to a different sect that became the "national religion"
    Every founding father was a Christian of some sort and church serviced had been held in the capitol for hundreds of years.
    By saying "we are not a Christian Nation" they were saying that the US was not the same as European countries.

      @@GeorgeJones-qu6hg That is what I said. The Government does not sponsor a specific brand of religion unlike European countries at the time. That doesn't mean that the founders were not Christians (they were, every last one of them). And that doesn't mean that the government is secular either. The Constitution and the Bill of Rights are fundamentally Christian documents based on a mix of Judeo-Christian beliefs.
      "Forgiving student loans" would come out of everyones pocket i.e stealing from Peter to pay Paul a thoroughly Un Christian act. Free healthcare for all would also be the same proposition.
      While I agree that politicians are bought and paid for by the rich/powerful the "solutions" that people like Cenk offer are cures worse than the disease they want ultimate authority to go into the people who can virtue signal the hardest and since EVERY example of ideologues like that getting into power has turned into genocide we know that "brilliant idea" doesn't work.
      For the record before you try to argue I am just biased because I am a Christian.
