@@musaad9326 no, it's "an English person", because the word English starts with a vowel sound, so the 'n' is added to connect them fluidly.
Also, it would probably be less awkward to say something like: "this video is so entertaining to watch as an English person"

his mandarin is not like your dongbei accent because he is from hong kong. they make fun of his mandarin alll the time on shows. Your explanation makes so much sense though. I am also bilingual and sometimes can't explain a lot of it.

watch movies, podcasts or just videos with no subtitles for a while it and get used to listening the way they talk, it helped me a lot
talking with people on platforms like discord, instagram or omegle also helps

In an interview didn’t he say English is his first language though? Then soon after he learned Cantonese.
With his history, he learned Cantonese, then English. If by first language, Jackson Wang meant that English is his best language then Cantonese that would make sense. If by order learned, Cantonese would be his first language then he learned English. He spent some time in local school, then International School. Also he said in a Coachella video Cantonese is his first (learned).IMO
