All the Hadith related to what benefits the deceased are in the form of approval of an act when the Prophet SAW was asked a question about whether a certain act would be of benefit /reward . No statement was made to prohibit certain acts nor any list given of approved acts . A scholar of Hadith would know how to categorise Hadith .The inference from known Hadith on this topic indicate that all good acts could benefit the deceased if done with the right intention /sincerity. Reciting the Quraan is one the highest forms of Zikr - surely this is beneficial to the reciter and the deceased if intended so. Open your hearts to good acts. Allah knows Best.

If someone died we recite Quran Ïnna Lillahi wa Inna Lilayhi Rajiún" --- Quran 2:156, Is it Bidah' ? If we make Doa for the dead person from Quran Ayat, is it Bidah'? To be cleared, whoever recite the Quran, just let them be their way of life in relation to Allah (The Most High) and Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) on any occasions. Please do not criticize other people religious Practice especially reciting the Quran. Allah (The Most High) Knows best.
People forget, before TV stations were widely use, and when the Kings of Saudi Arabia have passed way, all Radio stations have to stop Brodcasting others program and only Aired Quran Recitation at least 3 days. Anybody Knows that? come on Guys, do more research.

    It's very sad though
    I 100% agree with this
But the family background I come from does exactly the same thing
My young sister is arguing the same case
Then she is asking me why I go to these places if I agree it is Bidat
    I give her answers.
    1. At least I get to see my wife reading the Qur'an. And I also get some free time to read the Qur'an. Whereas in our house there is no environment of doing so.
    2. Your own father doesn't know anything but how turn on or switch off a Television.
From one button to Islam channel to the other button Fitnah channel so much hypocrisy.
    3. You yourself are taking your own children to cinema. Is the Fardh? Is this Sunnat? Is this Nafl?
I know my local Imam has said that this act is Bidat.
But if my family members. My father for whom I am supposed to show respect and my own sister who is already confused .Com are not ready to listen to the truth
Then I just have to keep quite and salvage the happiness that at least my wife will read the Qur'an for that particular day.
And by getting to these places early, myself I get to read the Qur'an and communicate with Allah, not for the deceased as some people may think. but for myself.

do not expose yours or others sins. in your case you must focus upon your house! else you will be questioned upon death why you did not guide your household, the quran should be read in home regularly! only when parents are wrong may you speak up and its permissible especially if its affecting deen.
as you can see brother this bidat is leading you astray, and bidat is haram, end of the day is it really benefiting? or is it making matter worse.

As far as reciting holy Quran has reward for the reciter and it is mentioned that when a person is reciting Quran and his parents are late they benefit from their son recitation what about giving the reward to the them as Dua, please if you are saying this you are confusing the people. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
"When a person dies, all his deeds come to an end except three: sadaqah jariyah (ongoing charity, e.g. a waqf or endowment), beneficial knowledge (which he has left behind), or a righteous child who will pray for him."
(Reported by al-Tirmidhi, no 1376; he said this is a sahih hasan hadith)
if this was the case then the prophet pbuh would have stated this however there is no mention! and its considered bidah to pray/ read quran "for the deceased" edit - only the children may make dua if they are also on the straight path.

Because they are innovators; they don't even let 6-7 year old kid to lead the prayer؛ whereas a Sahabi named Amr Bin Salamah used to lead prayers when he was kid of 6-7 years...Hanafis don't stand shoulder-to-shoulder foot-to-foot in congregational prayer which is necessary in prayer... Thus wasting their prayers in congregation, because this is very haram.... Hanafis delay Fajr, Asr prayers unnecessarily when it is clearly not found from any Hadith...

All things are permitted except if it is proven haram. So there is no sin in reciting the glorious Quran over a dead person. Your efforts of good deads will not go to waste because Allah Rab ul izzat is the most merciful. this is not innovation. This is pure sawab. Allhamdolila the scholar has great knowledge but stopping people from reading the Qur'an. 80% of Muslims would stop this great opportunity of reading the words of Allah SWT. Most people recite the Glorious Quran so they complete it and give it as a reward for Thier loved one's who have past away. The glorious Quran would be left on the top shelf.
