That sprayaway took me back! Could never get grandpas windows clean enough for him.
Right! I use it all the time and all I can think of is being in the shed.
Thought you was singing Morgan Wallen for a sec there. Great Vid Tim. she's coming along nicely
The dash cover looks good. I had one on a cutlass, the silicone would let go from the heat sometimes so I would have to redo it from time to time. I think in the end I used automotive goop and it worked better. Fun fact, the day you opened up the replacement Coverlay, February 13th, was also my birthday so I was eating tacos while you were unboxing your dash cover. Lol Duke is looking pretty good.
I can’t believe how good it looks, good to know about the adhesive. Well, happy belated birthday! I thought there was a waft of salsa smells swirling around! Thanks! It’s coming along.
Just remember don't let Duke give up the secret beans recipe. 🤣🤣🤣 Do you remember the old bush beans commercial with the dog named duke? And your suburban is named Duke. Just a little bit humor. I've actually been out to that place and it's a beautiful layout that they have in a white spot in the road. It's amazing how many cans of beans a package there. Nice museum about the company's history as well. I'm glad you're getting some things done on your suburban. You know I've never had to send anything back to RockAuto. If you do get to that point before the dogs eat the boxes, it'd be interesting to see how easy or how difficult they are to deal with on returns. Thanks have a great day
I remember that commercial! That was a good one. We are moving along with it pretty well definitely a lot more work than I had anticipated investing into it. I think they would be pretty good to return something as long as your dogs don’t eat the box.😜😂
@@Timmy_Forget something to note. You buy something special from Walmart that's electronic like a tablet or something. If you don't have the box and your kid breaks the screen in the first 30 days. They won't do anything for you. Plus if you buy the warranty and have it shipped off you have to have the box.
You know when you asked opinions about it and I gave my suggestion on the name and you went with it with your wife I'm glad you did it just really does fit and I'm glad you're making it a serious work on it because that body style is just great
It truly is the perfect name! I’m really glad you suggested it. It is a great body style indeed, and it will be really nice when I’m done I just hadn’t planned on investing this much into it.
@@Timmy_Forget as you'll discover some of the best things in life are things you never plan
Well I never really checked but if you got an email let me know I'll send you some pictures of some of my projects I have and some future projects
looking nice. Ive got one of those overlays for dads regal. I got to paint it to match.
Nice Wheels. There's a good radiator rebuild in Foley. Been there for ever. Rebuilt my Classic dodge. Never had a problem. Stone guard for front of hood or clear wrap protect it. Good job. Have a good week. 5200 boat sealer on your dash. I think the heat will pop off that silicon. That was a cheap fix. Looks Good.
Thanks, I will look up that radiator shop. I have the radiator that I took out. Hopefully they can rebuild it and I will be all set. That It’s a great idea for the hood. Another friend mentioned that about the silicone, that’s a bummer.
@@Timmy_Forget 5200 boat sealer. It will never be able to be removed. Mask off good and apply with comb all over. Use back of seat to brace off. I'd remove now before it sets and redo. You could black wrap the hood inside decal. Quick fix. No mess. Good luck. Hope your AC works for Summer. Gets Dam hot down there. 👍💪
@@Timmy_Forget I just checked for the radiator shop on Google map. Couldn't see them. Ask Hielmiers. He will know what happened to them. It's been a good few years ago. Or ask Gills Automotive. It was close to his building..
I need to get a coverlay, tried a knock off and by the time it fit it was so chopped up i just tossed it. Duke is looking great so far though nice job 👌
I’m really surprised how well it fit. Dang that stinks about the one you had, nothing worse than spending money and then tossing it in the trash.
I’m learning that the silicone may release in the heat, we’ll see. Thanks, I appreciate it!
How about the front dash speakers. Looks like you covered them with the new dash cover.
I placed them in the factory holes and the dash cover has the holes in for the speakers. Just like the factory dash.
Nice!! Do you think they make dash cover for 96 Bronco?
They probably do, seems like they make a ton of stuff for lots of different cars.
@@Timmy_Forget, Hi where did you order that dash cover? what is the companys name.??
@@osunajorge207 it’s a Coverlay. I purchased it directly from their website.
Where did you buy your dash cover? By the way your audio pooped out on the last part of the video.
I bought it directly from Coverlay. Oh no, I didn’t catch that on my review when I finished editing.
Nice 👍
Can you just let us know the speakers part number
For my 88 suberban
@@aladwanitno problem! My pleasure! We’re working on the wheels now and next tackling the steering box.
Are you at Austal today?
I thought I saw you! Special day when a celebrity comes to the shipyard!
@@PortCityProjectsa celebrity!!! I’ll be back in the morning, we are working in the tunnel this week.
That original driver's mirror on Duke is a van mirror. Yes, I agree, mirrors come off for paint! Ol' Fred's mirrors look very nice all rebuilt.
Man, that Coverlay looks awesome! As well as that console. Looking good, so far!
Oh wow! Thanks for filling me in on that. Me and my friends couldn’t figure that mirror out. I still can’t get over how good that dash cover looks, thanks!
